You could use a Extended version of Photoshop (the ones with the timeline) or use another software (I recommend VirtualDUB)

Image->Image Size...

Pretty much the same technique as a normal image, the difference is how you save it.

File->Save for Web & Devices...

After resizing , it reduces it. I want to crop empty space and make it into avatar size.

Make the Canvas smaller before you Resize the whole image.

Just use Image > Trim > Transparent pixels, or set the canvas size to your desired avatar size.

I'm just confused as to why you have such expensive software and yet don't know how to perform such a basic procedure with it OP.

Perhaps because he's new to it?

We all bought expensive things and didn't know exactly how to fully operate them. Hell, I still don't know how to do basic computer inputs but there's always room to learn.

@ Nobita, But yeah, you can trim the canvas as well or simply Create a new canvas 64x64 or whichever avatar size you're aiming for then move the gif onto that canvas and use the techniques that Narcis explained.

Read all the settings before exporting, there is a once/forever dropdown field.

Hmmm , well , in Xara 3D maker 7 , it keeps spinning. In PS, it spins once sad.gif

Once you've trimmed it and have the Save For Web window open in Photoshop, look in the bottom right corner and select 'Forever' in the dropdown that is labelled as Looping Options.

You can change the Looping options from the Save Menu as OverTheBelow suggested or you can change it from here

That's because you added a Drop Shadow without any transparency colors

check the Transparency field and add this color [#]182741 to Matte.
