Hey, not long ago your Cowgirls only had one playoff win in the last 17 years. :p

At least you're not a Chiefs fan. They've lost the last 8 playoff games, last win was in 1993

I'm not talking about teams in general, I'm talking about a single head coach on the same football team... it's completely different.

Focker, I'm 99% sure they still are.

So are the Cowboys. Jones likes the running backs that are currently on the roster lol.

I see another 8-8 year coming up. The Flukeboys won't have a double digit win total this upcoming season.

The Eagles got better. The Giants got better, or should I say got healthy. The Cowboys.... well, they got worse. They'll be battling with Washington for 3rd and 4th place in the division.

Giants will lose half the team to IR by week 10, don't you worry. Gotta keep up that consistency!

Definitely wasn't a different coaching mentality and the team's younger players starting to gell together well. Nope, just an entire fluke season.

Well, why not owners? Jones couldn't get a coach to get him out of the rough those years. lol

I agree, the Cowboys digressed this offseason so far. If they don't get someone like AP, then I see them doing another 2013 season.

For what the Vikings want for AP, they should draft a RB instead. If we could just give up a CB like Claiborne or Carr for him I'd say do it in a heartbeat, but a CB and a first round pick? That's too much for a 30 year old player. Especially since they likely wouldn't want sh*t to do with Claiborne or Carr after their past few years of performances.

Of course I'll have no problem eating crow if they do get him and it turns out well for them lol.

Yea, what the Vikings want but AP doesn't want anything to do with the Vikings.

In other news, the Browns offer their two first round draft picks to the Titans. L O L

That team is just so f*cked up it's not even funny.

Wow, you guys love the Cowboys.

"Eagles got better".... yeah, Eagles upgraded the backfield, but traded away their QB. You have no QB. How about figuring out who's your QB before putting your team on such a high pedestal before the season.

Rockstar, for the third time... I'm talking about Marvin Lewis. I suppose since you have no clear response about Marvin Lewis you take shots at my team, yeah?

I'll also add, that I personally think it'll take more than AD to give us a winning season. We don't have a defensive line, lost nearly all starters, I've never trusted the health of our linebacker squad, Scandrick wants another contract and is willing to holdout (from what I've read), and that's ontop of our already shaky secondary.. so we need to get and draft defense, not worry about Adrian. It'd be nice if Melvin Gordon fell to the Cowboys in the first, then I'd hope they would at least consider taking him.

I'm confident that Bradford will perform well. The system fits him better than the system they ran in St Louis. It's closer to what he ran at Oklahoma.

You just bring up the offense though. On defense, Ryans is coming back. The defense got noticeably worse after he got injured. Also, we got improvements with the new players, such as Browner. Fletcher was atrocious.

From local reports, Sam is already disgruntled that they are not showing him any commitment to being the starter. Your Eagles are scrambling to get Mariota, despite reports. As for defense, I'm not familiar at all with the Eagles, just know with that system he needs a fast paced offense to succeed.

I wish Bradford well, watched him (literally) from high school to the pros, but I don't think his knees are fit for this system. If he manages to stay healthy far into the season, then I have no doubt he, unfortunately, win the Eagles some games.

I usually don't pay attention to the local reports. I'm used to them spouting bs that turns out to false.

But if we get Mariota, I wouldn't complain.

Hometown news and radio are reporting, alotta people know 'ol Sammy around yonder. He never seemed to be that type of guy, plus it wouldn't make since considering his inconsistenty with staying heathly, so I don't know.

As much as I hate to say it, the Cowboys are fine in the running game. With that O-line, they could make Trent Richardson a 1000 yard runner(provided he could hang onto the football). Detroit should take notes about how to build an offensive line.

You can't just throw anyone behind a good oline and make them good. It just doesn't work that way.

Also, the Vikings would not accept Claiborne/Carr and a first for AP. They said starting corner, remember?

Sure he didn't do well with Palmer. He came into a sh*tty team anyways but getting AJ and Dalton, he's done well but since the AFC has all the good qbs, of course he's gonna get knocked out of the playoffs.

If he was in Dallas, he would've brought them to the playoffs every year with Romo and would be winning them but no, Cowboys are owned by Jerry Joke Jones. :p

If Palmer didn't tear his ACL in the playoff game, maybe, just maybe things would've been different.... and you're a dick. Bill 'god damn' Parcells couldn't do it, no way Marvin would've.

As far as our O-Line; I'm confident we can put a decent runner back there and get yards. With our passing attack, it does work like that.

When you have the best O-line combined with a MVP caliber QB and offensive weapons, you can make just about anybody look decent enough in that backfield.

You can't turn mediocre running backs into great running backs though. And I'm being generous when I'm calling the Cowboys RB's mediocre.

Oh 2014. Ok, so we are just ignoring the other seasons then? If you look in the past, you need to include all the past seasons. At least the last 3 or so.

He had a great running game last year. That helped him A LOT. I seriously doubt he'll have that to help him out this upcoming season. Mediocre running backs, and I'm being nice here.

It's back to Romo winning the games for you, instead of leaning on Murray. 8-8 is what happens when you have Romo and no running game.

It's easy for Romo to look good when the defense puts 8 in the box. He won't have that luxury this season.

No sane DC is worried about the Cowboys RB's. Defending the pass will be #1 priority.

Oh trust me, I hope you're right, I hate the damn Cowbells, but you never know, and who's to say Murray will have anywhere close to his 2014 campaign this season? His success was largely because of that line.

So I guess every QB that had a good running game should be discounted because he "got carried" by the RB? Lmao you're so delusional dude. Romo's stats have been good for a long ass time, he just needed a better team around him because despite what a lot of morons on the internet like to think, the game of Football is a TEAM SPORT and not simply QB vs QB.

Link to comment

But rest assured, they'll be back to 8-8 next season.

You said it yourself, it's a TEAM SPORT. A mediocre record for a mediocre TEAM. Mediocre running backs and mediocre defense. You better hope Romo has a MVP type season. Because thats what it would take for the Cowboys to have success this upcoming season. But don't put any money on that happening.

Furthermore, what gets mentioned when people talk about the success that Russell Wilson has had? The running game. The threat of Lynch is what has had a huge impact on Wilson's success. That and a great defense.

Romo has none of that now.

What Focker said. jatiger being your typical Eagles fan, all of them do it. Thank god we don't have a Redskins fan back here. You're dilusional and obviously biased when it comes to Romo, as is all Cowboy haters, especially fans of our division rivals. I'm not worried about the offense, they can score points and hang in there with other high-powered offenses, its our retched defense I'm scared of.

You're stupid if you don't think a outstanding offensive line and a good passing attack can turn a decent/mediocre runner into a 1,000 yard rusher. Shanahan did it in Denver for years... turn mediocre runningbacks into 1,000 yard rushers. Whenever Dunbar or Randall touched the ball the line gave their mediocre asses holes to run through, and both of them produced very well when given the opportunity, and with what little time they had (which felt like an eternity with Murray off the field) they showed flashes of success.

Jerry and Company have drafted well over the past few years, besides the trade to move up and get that joke Morris Claiborne, hopefully we have another good one this week/weekend.

ESPN's top 10 players drafted number one.

10. Ed "too tall" Jones - Dallas 1974

9. Lee Roy Selmon - Tampa 1976

8. Ron Yary - Minnesota 1968

7. Earl Campbell - Houston 1978

6. Oj Simpson - Buffalo 1969

5. Terry Bradshaw - Pittsburgh 1970

4. Troy Aikman - Dallas 1989

3. Bruce Smith - Buffalo 1985

2. John Elway - Indianapolis(traded to Denver) 1983

1. Peyton Manning - Indianapolis 1998

Apparently Indianapolis knows how to pick quarterbacks. Lol Elway Manning and now Luck, if he continues to improve of course.
