RGIII is clearly the better prospect, but Cousins is such a perfect fit for Gruden's system. If he continues to succeed, how can they bench him for Griffin? They gave up (I think) two 1st rounders and a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him, so they definitely won't get that value back in a trade if that's the route they take.

you don't even need 2 eyes to see that RG3 does not have longevity in his body. he's going to be injury prone and ineffective as a long-term starter for any rushing-based offense.

The average defensive back has like 30-40 pounds on him, of course he's gonna get hit and hurt. Maybe if he can put on 15-20 pounds.

Indeed, he has a very slender build for a guy who gets sacked and runs around a bit. His biggest problem is his carelessness with his body on the field, he makes a QB slide look so awkward and him dislocating his ankle after jumping and throwing the ball only speaks for his self. I think Gruden said his injury was a 'fluke' but there is nothing fluke about the injuries RGIII has suffered in the NFL. He needs to bulk up, learn to slide and maybe just stay in the damn pocket.

Gotta give the o-line credit - they kept Eli clean most of the night. I love our running attack. That's old school Giants football.

Yeah, he seems to be turning into yet another Giants player that'll hopefully be a new surprise star of the league, like Cruz back in '11. And I've gotta give the defense props too. 4 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries? I'm liking the way they look so far.

 

Hopefully they don't lose any of this spark they've ignited after this longer wait until they face Atlanta next Sunday.

Haha, and I started Donnell in my fantasy league.... and also Cousins. Pretty rare for a TE to get double the points than a QB. (Unless you are julius thomas or jimmy graham, at least consistently)

Now the fun starts - Giants have Atlanta at home, then Philly and Dallas on the road before their bye. Hope DRC comes back soon. The secondary will need him against the likes of Julio Jones & Dez Bryant.

@GTA3Rockstar: i'm sure if there was no salary cap and free will spending i'm sure Jerry would try. If that was the case the Seahawks would be SB favorites every year for decades, Paul Allen and what not.

Everyone on the sports talk radio stations I listen to were saying the Cowboys would lose. Can't wait to hear what they think tomorrow morning.

 

Murray's a total beast of a player. It seems like almost every time he gets the ball the guy fights for extra yards, if he can stay healthy, he's a top tier running back for sure in my opinion. Definitely a major steal for a 3rd round draft pick.
