In the AFC, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Buffalo, Houston, and the LA Chargers (with new coach Jim Harbaugh) I think stand good chances of knocking KC off their perch. In the NFC there's Detroit, San Francisco, and, if they fix whatever issues they may have had in their second half collapse, Philadelphia. Of course, every season has surprises both good and bad so I could very well be talking out my ass here.

Out of all those teams, Cincy has the best chance of ending KC's run if Joe Cool Jr can stay healthy. But I just realized Boyd & Higgins are free agents. I doubt they'll keep both.

I would take Russell Wilson on Pittsburgh honestly, I think he played good last year.

Good guess!

but he really didn't. He was a game manager and managed to lose some games lol

Steelers play at Broncos this year, so I'll guess that will be week 1 SNF or MNF matchup

The Steelers only have had 25 passing Tds in last two years, Russell Wilson had more than that just last year alone lol

And how they went 10-7 and 9-8 is beyond me

That's the nice thing about these alternative leagues. They can experiment with different kinds of things and, if they work out, then the NFL can adopt it without having to experiment with it themselves. I still would like for the NFL to adopt the 4th and 20 play as an option to use when you want to either try for an onside kick or something else.

It's crazy how much JJ McCarthy is moving up on people's draft boards, now they're saying New England could pick him at 3 lol. He barely threw the ball in a lot of games last year.

I'm not gonna act like I know more than Nfl scouts though, last year everyone was saying Anthony Richardson would be terrible and he looks pretty good now besides the injuries.

Zach is going to a better organization and a better coach. Sean may be able to salvage him and make him into a somewhat decent quarterback and keep things afloat until they get their cap space back. Zach is a band-aid at best and being with the Jets set him back quite a bit but, being with any team outside of the Jets, he may get a chance to finally prove himself. We'll see.

i wish the best for him (except for when he plays against us) but he was easily one of the worst quarterbacks i've ever seen suit up for the Jets and that's saying something cause we've had some f*cking terrible QBs in the past. don't get me wrong, he had practically no help and bad luck from the Jets concerning his development (sh*t o line, his QB coach tragically dying before his 1st season even started (rip Knapp), etc. etc.) but i feel like it's definitely an even split between the Jets being incompetent at developing QBs and him just being woefully inept at the NFL level. i sincerely doubt Payton will turn him from a pumpkin to a coach but i'd love to be wrong cause even though his stint was rather subpar i'll still root for him as a former Jet (once again except for when he plays against us)

I'm not expecting Peyton Manning here. I figure that a change of scenery and organizations can do him some good. I believe that Sean can make him into a better but middle of the road quarterback that can prevent the Broncos from being a 2-15 team.

i'm not saying you are at all, if i was i'd say something along the lines of "from 2000 Toyota to a McLaren F1" or something like that, i can understand why you thought that though, bad analogy from me i guess. i just don't see him becoming more than just a backup qb for the rest of his career, would love to be wrong about that though

i hope he does find success despite me doubting he will like i said above

i wonder which QB out of the 3 Denver have will win the starting job (if there's even a competition to begin with)

As Boomer Esiason has said many times on his WFAN morning talk show, “It’s the overall decision-making, lack of awareness stuff, that drives you crazy....there are a couple times where he just completely loses, in real time, loses the down clock......He’s not even aware of it. It’s remarkable to me.”

Sean has his hands full trying to coach that kid up.
