wait did Seattle get allen? I could have swore I heard on the news that he was signed by the seahawks but I dont see any mention of it on the seahawks website and wikipedia still has him listed as a free agent.

I thought he'd gone for talks but nothing had been finalised?

In other news (not from ESPN) former Steelers safety Ryan Clark was in Seattle the other day to visit the Seahawks. Supposedly he had a great time according to his twitter timeline.

 

He'd obviously be a back up and special teams only. Probably to replace Chris Maragos. If at the right price it'd be a good signing.

Yeah, the off-season rumour mill is probably like 90% bullsh*t just to give Football writers something to do and fans something to talk about. Back up some complete speculation about a player's movements with 'A source' or 'reportedly' and you have yourself an article.

Im a bit excited to see how they use Pryor. Supposedly he's been strictly against a position change but for a measly 7th round pick (the last tradable pick) i'd say its worth the risk.

 

But it does bring a bit of comedy. It keeps Wilson as the lowest paid QB on the Seahawks. lol

Terelle Pryor is not a thug nor a douche bag. He's a hard working player and can be molded into a really useful piece in an NFL team, whether that's as Russell Wilson's back up or a Jermaine Kearse type wide receiver remains to be seen.

A 6'5''-6'6'' running back? Never. He should lineup at TE if any position. I personally liked him at QB in college and in the pro's. if he didn't have an issue wifh the Raiders head coach I'm sure he'd still their starter headinv into this upcoming season.

 

Good pick up for Seattle. I'm sure he'll be better than Flynn.

Seahawks extended Safety Earl Thomas' contract for 4 years for $40 million with $27.75 guaranteed.

 

Makes Thomas the highest paid Safety in the NFL. Dude deserves it too. In my opinion he's the best safety in the NFL easily and the biggest part of that Seahawk defense.

NFL Draft in 8 days, what prospect do you see your team taking in the first round?

Not completely sure in all honesty, I'd like to take Watkins but it is such a deep and versatile receiving draft class I wouldn't want to pick too high for a WR.

 

Possibly Khalil Mack. I'd like us to take a QB to sit behind Schaub (especially now Bridgewater's stock is massively falling for some reason) but I don't see it happening.

Texans should take Clowney to be safe, or just trade it for more value. The plummet of Teddy Bridgewater is baffling. Last year he went into the college season as, the hands down, best QB prospect. He had the highest completion percentage and had good numbers, but I guess since he has "small hands" and isn't comfortable throwing without gloves that dropped his stock so low you'd think he has a bad attitude or a list full of injury problems... I remember when all the anonymous NFL executives were talking sh*t, one had the balls to compare him to a fictional football player, Willie Beaman. Which the only thing I seen they had in common was that they are both black.

 

Whoever gets Teddy in the late first or second round will have the biggest steal of the draft since the plummet of Aaron Rodgers.

 

A little part of me wants Jerry Jones to draft Johnny Football and trade Romo.

Don't have a favorite NFL team so I will just say that if I was running an NFL team and had a top 10 pick I would be heavily eyeing Blake Bortles. Or if I wanted to run some kind of crazy Wildcat offense I would obviously look at Johnny Manzel.

Johnny isn't a wildcat offense QB, I believe he can quarterback a NFL team. He has the intangiables and the star power to be the next thing.

 

I'd actually compare Johnny Manziel to Michael Vick. He doesn't have that blazing speed Vick was blessed with but has the same incredible arm strength. I think Johnny is a more accurate passer, especially when he's on the run or when it's a off balance throw.

Jerry Jones isn't that bad if you ask me. Sure he has his quirks but he has at least had success and pretty much helped revitalize the Cowboys brand.

True, but for someone who's originally from Texas and a former Cowboys fan, as an owner, I think he's a joke. Year after year after year and the Cowboys suck every year. That alone should force Jones out. (It's either that or continue to whore out Cowboys Stadium to the NCAA for college basketball and then who knows what....three failed bid attempts to host WWE's WrestleMania and maybe more failed bids to come? (Bids failed to host WM29 through WM31, which went to MetLife Stadium/East Rutherford, New Jersey; Mercedes-Benz Superdome/New Orleans, Louisiana and Levi's Stadium/Santa Clara, California respectively. Something tells me that WM32 may also not be held in the DFW area.)

 

What I'm trying to say is he shells out money for STUPID decisions. Probably $500-$600 million wasted just on WrestleMania bids alone! Not to mention pushing the buttons with the city and state building and fire codes, like he did a while back for the Super Bowl a few years ago...

Jones being owner isnt the issue. Jones being owner AND General Manager/prez of Football operations is the damn problem.

 

Jones needs to be an owner and hire some one that has football knowledge. Maybe John Schneider will have a Front Office tree that Jones can pick from.

I agree that owners shouldn't meddle in in the actual on field stuff. Yes the owner should always have a say in personnel and player decisions. They,re the ones that paid a fortune for that privilege and have the right to get involved. But I think the owners that have proven the most successful don't get too involved in day to day operations. Take the Rooneys and Krafts are prime examples of that.
