So what do you guys think your favorite team needs to win the super bowl? I sure wouldn't mind if the 49ers boosted up the secondary. The corners got beat deep a lot. I'd also like to see a deep threat receiver for Kap. Everywhere else seems solid.

Maybe, but the Lions had the lead in a division without Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler and were in the prime position for a playoff run and blew it. They went from 6-3 to 7-9

I wouldn't say this was the worst SB - 49ers/Broncos & 49ers/Chargers were over after the first quarter, lol. Best SB ever is still Giants/Bills. It's the only one point win in SB history, and it was intene throughout.

 

 

As for my Giants off-season priorities - both lines MUST be rebuilt. After that, we need help at TE, RB, WR(I think Nicks is gone), and the defensive backfield. I hope Beason stays. Dude had a terrific season.

So it looks like Michael Bennett probably wont resign with the Seahawks due to cap issued. The Seahawks are probably going to resign Tate, Cut/restructure rice, Miller, and Bryant and that should help the Hawks get decently under the cap. They'll probably draft another Utility pass rusher like Bennett as well as i'd guess they go CB, WR, and TE along with possibly another offensive lineman.

 

They hawks dont really have too many holes or areas of need. People say they need to shore up the run but personally they have what's needed to stop the run. They just never really executed it very well at times.

Sidney Rice was just released by the Seahawks. It'd be interesting to see who tries to pick him up.

One of the more expected releases. Sid is actually a really good WR. He'd be a great # 2 WR if he could stay healthy and get consistent separation.

 

Jermaine Kearse's emergence made the guy easy to cut with that $17 mill contract for this year.

 

Now i'd like to see Zach Miller either restructured or released as well as Red Bryant. And then we can try to resign Tate, Baldwin, and Bennett.

 

Also Bennett is insane if he thinks he's going to get a $10mill per year contract. Its a buyers market for DL he'll be lucky to get $6mill from any team in the league.

With Ware and Pepper's contracts it effectively takes Seattle out of the race for Jared Allen. I'm kinda bummed about that. If we had him we could've had Avril and Allen as DEs and Bennett playing DT with McDonald. that line up would have gotten amazing pressure on QBs. Alas the Hawks cant afford Allen.

 

Glad though that the re-signed Kicker Stephen Hauschka to a 3 year deal. Guy was money last year. I believe he missed two kicks all year (including preseason, regular season, and post season) and one was a blocked FG. That and he convinced Pete Carroll to go for it instead of kicking a FG lol.

ESPN jumped the gun like the idiots they are. He left after Seattle offered him a contract. According to Allen's agent he's going to mull over the offers over the weekend and make a decision then. However its worth noting supposedly on the second visit with his whole family both he and his wife loved the Seattle area. It was sunny and warm when he visited the second time as well.
