Well, great performance by the Seahawks. Peyton Manning is a great QB but he has just never been able to get it done in the playoffs.

One of the most winningest quarterbacks of all time and now the most losingest playoff quarterback. Granted, without him we'd be an 8/8 team but seriously, everyone questioning your legacy and you play like that? 2ints 1fumble but hey, defense wins.

It takes a team effort(or lack there of) to win(or lose) a game . Can't put all the blame on him. Denver didn't show up at all.

The tone was set from that loose snap on the very first play. Broncos Defence were too sloppy and Seahawks defence had Peyton and the rest rattled.

While it wasn't a very exciting game to watch as a neutral it was a real defensive performance for the purists. They got everything right.

Had the misfortune of attempting to travel through Seattle on my way home from a Superbowl party. I think just about everyone was out in the streets with Seahawks paraphernalia, drunk as skunks. I couldn't blame them for being excited, Washington State teams have gone to Superbowls, World Series and what have you plenty of times but never seem to clinch victory. We most certainly deserved this victory.

Most part, yes. That's why they give w/l records on qbs and noone else on the field

Poor Rocky. :(

Pathetic performance.

Can't blame it on just Manning. If anything, it'll fuel us for next year. :^:

Denver didn't show up at all.Wait, you mean the guy who shattered passing records, is apart of the most prolific offensives ever in the NFL, has 5 AP MVP awards and is widely considered the best QB ever? I'll put the blame on him. They were dinking and dunking and whole first half, then they came out weak after the Percy Harvin Kickoff TD. The team in general played horribly, but you Denver and NFL fans are kidding yourself if you don't blame Manning for this one. 1 TD for a offensive who was considered one of the top offensives ever to grace the field is beyond unacceptable and someone needs to take responsibility for that. I'm a believer in 'Defenses don't win championships, they prevent you from losing them' but that outlook slapped me in the face during the Super Bowl.

It was really quite pathetic to watch overall, fell asleep at half-time.

Edit; I'd also like to add Pete Carrol didn't win a National Title, the USC/OU game never happened. And if it did, the team who essentially bought their team would've won.

Offensive line kept letting their DEs in, causing blocked armed throws. Getting behind too fast, which didn't allow us to get our running game going. Not getting turnovers. Crappy tackling and don't getting good coverage on their receivers, let alone the stupid kick off; granted if it bounced more back we could've recovered it.

Either way, disheartening to see that performance after the year they had.

First year, 1st seed. Second year, Super Bowl. Maybe 3rd times the charm, hopefully so because it'll be here in Arizona :^:

Just goes to show if you can get a pass rush with the front four, you can frustrate any QB, no matter how great he is. It's how the Giants beat Brady twice, and it's how the Seahawks beat Peyton. Their defense, was fierce, relentless and fast - cats were flying to the ball, and the tackling was on point.

How lucky is the NFL? Imagine if it snowed like this in NYC last night? We're supposed to get 8 inches today.

May sound harsh but that was pretty embarrising from a Denver point of view. It started with the first snap of the game and just never stopped. Coming back from half time at 22-0 I still thought Manning and the rest of the team could pull that defecit back but then the kickoff happened and the game was over at that point in my opinion.

That being said I do believe that Manning will win another Superbowl.

I was looking at Seattle on google maps because I'm bored, and I noticed that they changed the name of Mt. Rainier to Mt. Seattle Seahawks.

There are very few fanbases that needed a championship like Seattle did. Losing the sonics and ineptitude of the Mariners front office the last decade.

I'm not surprised that the stadium was as loud as it was. Supposedly there were thousands of seahawk fans all over NYC.

When watching the game it seemed to me that there was alot more orange in the crowd and the Broncos fans didn't really have alot to cheer about all game. Then again orange is probably easier to pick out than the Seahawks blue/green jersey.

alright now that I've sobered up and had some time to digest what the f*ck happened, I can honestly say 2 things.

1) I'm happy for Seattle

2) worst Super Bowl in the history of the sport

clearly one team was more prepared to play this game than the other.

I was rooting for Denver because I live here but they're not my home team and I would not have bet on the game. historically the number 1 defense always beats the number 1 offense which is exactly what happened. after following the Broncos all year only to see them collapse, it's actually easier for me to happy for Seattle more than sad for Denver. Seattle was more excited to be there and more hyped to play. it was clear from the beginning.

and I remember when Seattle lost the Super Sonics.

they really have nothing up there (the Mariner's don't count ;) ) so it was actually pretty cool watching them get to celebrate their first championship in such dramatic fashion.

but ultimately it was only dramatic for Seattle fans.

the biggest problem with last nights game is that it was just horrendously boring for anyone outside of Washington state. for any football fan that didn't have a vested interest in the Ponies or the Birds, this was just the most boring game ever played :(

Indeed, one of the worst Super Bowls I've had the displeasure of watching. I'm sure if was raining, snowing or sleeting, Denver wasn't going to win this game regardless of the weather. Richard Sherman said it right when he said the NFC Championship was the 'Super Bowl'.

Lol that's a funny GIF. And I agree the super bowl was boring as sh*t. Far Cry from last years game which was epic until the end with that massive comeback by SF

Yea, it was terrible. I knew it was gonna be a tough game but never thought we'd only score eight points and lose by 35.

Hopefully next time.

Well the past 5 or 6 Superbowls have been very good, so sooner or later we where going to have a dull Superbowl but didn't think it would be this one when I looked at both teams before the game.

Really was a terrible Super Bowl. I always expect/hope it to be somewhat close and competitive. Oh well.

Imo the best Super Bowl of the past 10 years was Super Bowl 42 Giants vs Patriots.

Not far from that one was the following year. Super Bowl 43 Pittsburgh vs. Cardinals.

Very fun to watch come from behind wins like those.

So what do you guys think your favorite team needs to win the super bowl? I sure wouldn't mind if the 49ers boosted up the secondary. The corners got beat deep a lot. I'd also like to see a deep threat receiver for Kap. Everywhere else seems solid.

Simple. Reload. :p

Reality is that the Hawks will lose a couple big names due to cap issues and what not. Personally i think what will happen is that they'll resign Baldwin, Tate and Bennett but cut TE Zach Miller, WR Sidney Rice, and DE Chris Clemons. Cutting those three guys will free up about 21 million in cap space. And then if the hawks restructure DE Red Bryant's contract along with DT Brandon Mebane's it should free up roughly another 4 to 7 million.

But other than resigning people the Hawks wont get any Free agents due to the salary cap so they'll rely on the draft to fill any holes they have.

I'd be willing to bet they'll try to trade out of the first round and get a couple later round picks. And who they draft is a crapshoot with Pete Carroll and John Schneider.

Better than getting there, after a season to remember, and then put up that kind of performance.

For me being a neutral I think in a few years time I will probably remember the Broncos more for the record breaking offense in the regular season, than how the Superbowl went. However for the next couple of years atleast the Superbowl will probably be the thing people think of the most when they think of the Broncos 2013.

Yea, if you're a Broncos fan. Waited 15 years to get back into that position. I felt worst last year, when we had that Baltimore game and blew it, but still sucks equally.
