So now LA has TWO football teams no one gives a f**k about....

Not entirely true. As someone who has an understanding of Los Angeles sports teams as a fan of Anaheim sports teams, people want the Rams. It'll take a winning season to get people to watch, and who knows when that will be, but they want the Rams.

 

They don't want the Chargers.

 

And I want to sh*t on LA on this point. I don't like LA fans. They treat me as a fan of the Ducks and Angels like an underclassman. They could be the best teams in their leagues, and we fans are treated like peasants by these condescending twats. f*ck them.

 

But I digress. The Rams have history with LA. The only history the Chargers have with LA is one season half a century ago, and nobody noticed. LA wants the Raiders, well they're going to get at least one Raiders game a year when they come to town and fill up a 30k stadium with black and silver.

 

I have a bit of empathy for the fans that might stick with the team, or might even jump on board, because they're going to get that same condescending bullsh*t by Raiders fans. Hell, the Raiders have had one good season in 15 years and they are sh*t talking like crazy, already as if they are an elite team with years of success.

 

Anyway I'm rambling.

 

LA wants the Rams, despite the way it looks, and they don't want the Chargers while they really want the Raiders.

it's a super sh/tty move by the Spanos family and Roger Gooddell.
I'm pretty sick of the NFL lately.

they just f/ck all the fans for money.
they f/ck cities for money.
they f/ck local governments for money.

and none of it benefits the community.
it just goes into the owners' personal checking accounts. the Spanos family is worth almost 3 billion dollars but they whine and complain that the city won't build them a new stadium with tax payer dollars so they pick up their things and leave like a child who doesn't get his way on the playground. I'm getting so sick of elite money interests f/cking over everything that was once good and decent and enjoyable while I was growing up. I'm coming to despise it.

boycott the NFL, imo

just paying obscene amounts of money to a bunch of dumb jocks so we can watch them play with a ball. no punishment when they beat their wives. no punishment when they get into brawls or shootouts at strip clubs. the league cracks down on celebrations and penalizes guys for trying to have any fun on the field. they suppress and ignore medical science about the safety of the game and pretend that players aren't committing suicide due to brain damage. it's just a sh/t organization all around. my life has been fine without it the past few months...

bro don't get me started on how poor the experience is of actually attending a game.

as if the profits of everyone involved weren't exorbitant enough, every time they build a 'brand new' stadium it's an excuse to raise the price of beer and hot dogs another 99 cents. the reason everyone gets sh/tfaced and stuffs their faces at a tailgate is because they can't afford to do so inside. and these are already the most diehard fans. the NFL rakes over and takes advantage of every loyal consumer.

 

don't get me started on how poor the experience is of trying to watch from home, either.

they have studies on this.. the NFL accounts for 3-4x as many commercials and commercial breaks as any other sport on TV. you cannot sit down and watch football for 5 f/cking minutes at a time. it's gross.

 

I can do this all day long

and I love football too but I'm not blind. it's a horrible product lately.

My picks for the weekend

 

Green Bay - a hot Rodgers in a dome... me likey

Atlanta - kind of a toss up, so I'm going with the home team

Kansas City - another close one, so I'm going with the home team

Houston - just picking them cause I have a $100 riding on this game. But, if they can ball out on defense, they'll have a chance. I think a lot of people pick the Pats just based on the juxtaposition of Brady and Osweiler.

Nobody gave Buster Douglas a chance, so I won't count out the Texans completely. Not confident in this pick at all.

Two greats game, in a matchup sense, tonight. Aaron Rodgers hasn't won back to back playoff games since his super bowl run. Hopefully the boys will shut him down tonight, or at least keep up with him.

They stopped their offense last game, I'm confident they could do it again, but it's playoff Rodgers. But they also didn't have Jordy last time we played, which could be a key factor towards Cowboys success today.

Our defense got a lot better for the playoff game and he still ass-raped us. Our offense of course didn't help but he is absolutely not the same. He's on a mission now.

That spike was terrible. Loss of downs, could've got more yards but gave it to Rodgers with more time in the clock.

 

Ended up being a good game, though. Better than the last 6 games this post season.
