Now that the Browns are out of the way, the Giants need to step it up for the stretch run. The competition is serious - the way the offense played against Cleveland won't get it done against the teams they'll face.

Up by 8 with 2.5 minutes to go.. Defense was solid all night, special teams cost us 13 points

 

Looking at it now, it would've been better to not have scored on that last bomb and took the time down, but you never stop yourself from scoring.

the offense is fine with scoring. when they get in the red zone they score touchdowns with ease. eli has the most TD passes in the last 4 weeks since they fixed the offense with the bye week. in terms of moving the ball and stuff, i would blame that on them being on now the 4th starting left guard and not able to run those jumbo sets. How Giants looked against the Eagles is a realistic portrayal of their offensive ability with either Pugh or Jones at LG, not Newhouse (career tackle) or Gettis (never played guard and is a new player).

If the Broncos lose again this week they should just put Paxton Lynch in and say f*ck it. Siemien is a backup QB plain and simple.

It's no excuses, just being a realistic fan. Eyes don't lie.....their lack of a consistent ground attack, sh*t TEs and injuries on the o-line is going to bite them against these better teams. They can't control the LOS like Dallas.

Cowboys can wear defenses down and kill the clock with Zeke and those road graders up front. That's how you protect fourth quarter leads in crucial December games. Giants don't have that luxury. Short-yardage plays are a toss-up. It doesn't help that our TEs are bottom-of-the-barrel.

Do you know more about football than John Elway? do you really think he would've drafted Lynch if he thought Simien was a franchise type QB? He's a mediocre backup QB, that simple. He was good for the first 4 weeks when nobody had film on him.

 

 

The 2011 Giants defense is highly overrated too. It was honestly pretty bad. It got better in the playoffs but it was ranked 27th in the league for a reason. And it was overrated statistically in the playoffs also because the Falcons and Matt Ryan were GARBAGE in that first wild card game at MetLife, scoring 0 offensive points and only that safety in the first quarter. Matt Ryan has no arm strength and can't win games outside of his dome or warm weather, and we're going to see that in December and January if Atlanta makes the playoffs.

 

The Giants face an interesting game this weekend. Since it's their last interconference game it doesn't really matter as much as the last divisional and NFC game (vs Lions) but still, a win is a win. Steelers have a sh*t defense so there's no excuse not to score in the high 20s.

 

And btw, playoff Eli can only be as unstoppable as he is with a serviceable offensive line.

But remember the guys Eli had when he won those Super Bowls....O'Hara, Diehl, Snee, Mackenzie, etc. I don't trust Flowers at all.

Peyton retired in March, we were trying to get Osweiler (good thing he left lol) and Siemian was 3rd on the depth chart the whole year. Nobody really knew what we/he had, so obviously we had to get a highly sought after QB in the draft.

 

He's played just as well the last 3 games as he did in his first four (then shoulder was injured in between). Last game was probably the best of the year (besides the 4 TD game against the Bengals). A QBR of 62.3, which is higher than Manning, Flacco, Smith, Newton, Osweiler, Tannehill.

 

 

We'll just have to see.

Just do one to start the season, then 3 games on thanksgiving and finish the year out with 2 games week 13-16.

 

I also think they should have bye weeks, week 5-12 with 4 teams each week.
