the joke is that my only home team now is Denver.

the Broncos are alright but I'll like them more after the Peyton Manning era is over.

and everyone back home is boycotting the Bowl. I'm all conflicted now. there's going to be parties going on around here for Super Sunday but a lot of the people I know are going to be too bummed to go or care to watch

Saying they accomplished more in St Louis is just ignorant.

They definitely belong in LA.

but they did accomplish more.

nobody talks about NFL championships except your grandpa.

Super Bowl rings make legacies and LA has none to show.

how do they "belong" in a city that couldn't even hang on to them the first time?

You can't really discount a championship just because it wasn't called "Super Bowl". Those championships created legacies back then. But the new generation of football fans, who don't know the history of the game, discount those championships based on something as arbitrary as the name of the championship game. What did the Rams win in LA? A NFL championship. What did they win in St Louis? A NFL championship aka a Super Bowl. Same sh*t, different name.

The history of the Rams is in LA. In St Louis they had what, 4 good years.

The Rams is a LA team and now they returned to their home.

How many legends played in LA for the Rams? And how many played in St Louis?

Deacon Jones, Jack Youngblood, Merlin Olsen, Jackie Slater, Eric Dickerson, Norm Van Brocklin. These are just a few, that I could think of right away, of the LA Rams legends.

Don't say that the Rams accomplished more in St Louis, please. It just makes it seem like you don't know what you're talking about.

Or, we could just agree to disagree.

I'd trade all of the Lions' championships for 1 Superbowl.

OH THANK THE f*ckING STARS IT'S MCADOODLEDOO.

Seriously I was worried we'd pick up Doug Marrone or Mike Smith. Really worried.

EDIT: And Philbin at OC. Is he any good? Don't know about him.

Doubt he'll be calling plays though.

He was GB's coordinator when they won the Superbowl back in 2010.

McCarthy may have been calling the plays, though.

lol. The Niners are going to get stuck with either Kelly, Shanahan, or Coughlin.

That's basically the equivalent of Hitler, Mussolini, or Stalin (superlatively speaking).

God, I can't wait until they burn their seventh overall draft pick on some wideout from Samford or an offensive tackle out of Chattanooga.

Classy fans in St Louis. I didn't know inbreeding was such a big issue in that area and among the fanbase.

there is still other option. i believe thats why the titans havent promoted Mularky yet and why the Bucs havent promoted Koetter yet. That a side, it is SF sounds like they will end up with one of the 3 listed

I'd hope for Kelly in that scenario. He's a very good coach. Just make sure the owner don't give him GM responsibilities.

the guy made a Twitter account explicitly for the purpose of scouring every single St Louis based tweet he can find in order to curate the few bad ones into one single stream. someone could do this for any other city in the US and it would look equally as bad if not worse... looking at you Philly and Cincy. the fact that he chose to single out St Louis only means that we're doing it right ;)

haters only hate when you're great.

they don't shower this kind of attention on losing cities. people who hate the Cardinals do so because they wish their own club was half as good. we understand.

I'm not into baseball. So f*cking slow and boring. Steroids need to make a huge return. So this is my reaction to the Cardinals being "good"....

Agreed, too boring.

You know it is when a World Series-clinching game gets out-viewed by a Sunday Night Football game. lol

Mike Sullivan, our QB coach, will be HC, not Philbin.

Philbin will have a different title.

I still don't get it.

Coughlin stepped down, they promoted their OC to HC and are keeping everyone else???

I don't see any different outcome for next year. lol

Coughlin was their scapegoat. They kept the DC, even though he deserve to be fired.

The ownership is making some questionable moves.

Hell, the GM even said that he himself was the problem. So why the hell is he still there?

don't need the quotations.

the Cardinals aren't "good" because they're actually great :pp

the Twitter account he linked is based on the Cardinals, it has nothing to do with football, but the guy was grabbing all St Louis-based tweets he could find.

also, nobody uses TV ratings to compare the 'popularity' of football to baseball.

but whatever helps you sleep. I wasn't here to say anything about baseball, that's just the twitter account, but y'all sure do get defensive at the drop of a hat....

Everyone uses rating to judge the popularity, but that's besides the point.

Fixing the time management problems already gives us a few wins lol. We'll see how McAdoo does in that front.

Furthermore, McAdoo may not be as loyal to veterans as Coughlin was, which would always bite us in the ass. When we signed Robert Ayers, he was a f*cking monster. But we didn't start him, oh no. We started Mathias Kiwanuka, who did f*cking nothing and was awful. Ayers had half the snaps and 6x the production. But he never started, no.

Then there's Andre Williams, who was a Boston College guy, AKA a Coughlin guy. Andre was probably one of the worst RB's in the NFL this year, and easily the worst on this team. And yet, he kept getting snaps and snaps and snaps and did nothing with them. We finally got going with Rashad Jennings, and Williams still found snaps in those games, when we had Vereen and a young and promising Darkwa on the roster.

And then there's Markus Khun. Coughlin would praise him for everything he didn't and couldn't do. Worst D-lineman on our team, and that's f*cking saying something. Still started. Kiwanuka all over again.

Of course, we can only guess this was Coughlin, however I, and many other Giants fans, believe this to be the case, as Coughlin had final say in everything.

We'll find out for sure this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kuhn and Williams are gone/don't do anything anymore.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. What I would worry about is the offense taking a step back.

We've seen that happen in the past with teams. The successful OC becomes the HC. Now he has to focus on more than just the offense. Which cause him to not be able to put as much time and effort into the offensive game planning.

I guess only time will tell if he'll be able to transition well to the HC position.

Still, the Super Bowl is the most watched television broadcast of the year. All preference anyways, but still enough stats to say it's the favorite.

I don't think Coughlin will get a job this year, or at all for that matter. Turning 70 before the beginning of next season is a major concern, team's generally want a coach for 5+ years; as long as things are going well.

We offered Coughlin an FO job. He'll probably take it now that Philly is a no deal.

Not with the 4th pick. I'd rather the Boys wait next year to snag a RB in the 1st round. fournette, mccaffery and possibly chubb(pending his possible career ending injury, reminds me of the great marcus lattimore a few years back). Henry would be a great late 1st rounder-early 2nd, but not a top 15-20 pick.

America's Team has drafted tremendously in the past 4-5 years. No reason to stop now. I'm really hoping they just trade down for next years draft. I say good 'ol Jerry calls up Dan Snyder and see how many 1st rounders he can get off him.

jerrys not going to trade back and i dont see dan trading up. Maybe the Rams or Houston will trade with him

It would be way too expensive for Houston to trade that far up. The cost outweighs the gains at that point.
