Where every other game lacks is playability after.

I feel honestly what makes gta stand up is how long you can just go around playing after the story or just messing around between missions like GTA SA before it had a key feature no other game seems to pick up on. sleeping dogs was an interesting game i bought it, played it, had my fun and found the game to be completely done having no replayability factor at all. Just like Assassins Creed, while i loved the story, you were the "good guy" so you wouldn't just shoot civilians with arrows or set one of those mines in a crowded market like you would in grand theft auto. sa has a whole world of possibilities to pick from and you could do a lot of really fun things. going on rampages was what made gta that fun but no other game seems to try to match gta in this area because they can't do it. the fact is nobody is going to find a alternative better than gta(unless you really like saints row and there crap). I just got mafia 2 and the game is pretty entertaining and i enjoy playing it alot due to the fact that i can do what i so choose to without having every possibility in the world like the sims.

 

Edit: i do not recommend buying the game sleeping dogs it is not fun to play after the game and the story is not that long either. the story is very good and it is alot more about fist fighting than guns and i know alot of people don't like that fact(i loved fist fighting in gta and i say this).
