corvettelover
Okay, here are the (new) specs: AMD X2 64bit 2.7ghz(?) 5GB Ram BFG 9500GT OC 1GB Windows 7 64bit What are some games that could be played on this old ass PC? I gave it to my little brother and want to find some games he can play on it, lowest settings, 640x480 @ atleast around 20fps would be acceptable for him. Thanks Edited February 25, 2013 by corvettelover

corvettelover
Already have SS2 and the Thief games on it. Not sure if he'd like Deus Ex though, and the only one I have is Human Revolution which I would guess won't work at all on it. I'll look into ghost master though. friendly luggage
Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator. Great fun game but make sure you have a joystick. Lego Racers might be worth looking at and an old Age of Empires should run.
sivispacem
I nominate Mechcommander 2. One of the best 3D RTS games, despite some initial flaws. Still a decent community around it, should run well on that old system, and there are loads of extra missions, packs and even high res textures people have made for it. corvettelover
Alright, I'll try the above games. The specs have changed now though, I found another one we had that we thought was dead (but works fine now) AMD X2 64bit 2.7ghz(?) 5GB Ram BFG 9500GT OC 1GB Much better than the original specs in the op, lol. Not great, but should play alot more games.

corvettelover
The Sims? The original fallout? First 3 Resident Evil Games? Dunno if he'd like those games, I gave him Thief Gold and he played the tutorial for like, 10 minutes and hasn't touched it since. He's just been playing Kayne and Lynch and some WW2 shooter on it for now, and AC1.

corvettelover
You should get Dead Space, loved that one. Got them on Origin for myself, haven't installed/downloaded them yet though, almost cannot believe Dead Space 1 is 8gb, and Dead Space 2 is 10gb. Master of San Andreas
All GTA Games before IV,Counter Strike 1.6,Team Fortress 2,some of the older NFS games,CoD 2 are all I can think of...
corvettelover
Okay, well, the Dead Spaces are probably out for him (on my Origin account anyways) Now I have the choice of one of these, Witcher 2 Enhanced would be for his PC if it'll work as I am not really into that type of game. Sniper Ghost Warrior Gold Edition(ALL DLC) (had regular version before, on GMG when it was pretty new, dunno what all Gold adds though) Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor ORION: Dino Beatdown Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition Think his PC could run Witcher 2? looks like the best one to pick, I just dunno if he could even run it. Narcis_speed6
I can't speak for COH Tales of Valor or Orion because I didn't played those, but I can strongly tell you that PC cannot run Ghost Warrior and no way it can run Witcher 2. Hmm, okay, any idea if he'll be able to play Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition? I just got him Witcher 2 Enhanced and Witcher 1 Enhanced, I know my PC would play them fine (they don't look very fun to me), but his is quite a bit lower spec (alot, actually.) Here are his specs (incase you missed the part about me giving him a different PC from the OP one): AMD X2 64bit 2.7ghz(?) 5GB Ram BFG 9500GT OC 1GB
Narcis_speed6
The first Witcher should run alright, and I didn't missed the post. Witcher 2 is a very demanding game.
corvettelover
The first Witcher should run alright, and I didn't missed the post. Witcher 2 is a very demanding game. Hmm, is Witcher 2 "nerdy" per-say? Like, is it like Skyrim or Oblivion rpg-ish? Or more like Fallout 3/STALKER "RPG"-ish? (IE, are there elves running around, or are you just a "normal" person in it?) If it isn't a "nerdy" type RPG (No offence to anyone, I just hate those games) maybe I'll give the second one a try. Also, good thing he cannot run Witcher 2, looked it up and I'd have to say it isn't a game he should play. I know he loves Fallout 3 (and I think its okay) so hopefully he'll like Witcher 1. Looks like the second game has very beautiful graphics, very realistic looking (atleast from the shots on the GOG page) Edited February 24, 2013 by corvettelover
Narcis_speed6
Best way to learn about Witcher 2 is to watch a review about it, I finished the game 2 times so far and I absolutely loved it. Things change allot based on the decisions you take, gotta love it. Props to Zeitgeist for the amazing review.

Props to Zeitgeist for the amazing review. I'll probably give it (the second one) a chance, doesn't hurt anything, only a big download. I have no problem with medevil settings, absolutely love the Thief games, and if it isn't full of elves and other things like that its probably not bad at all. I'll watch the review for it. Any idea if the GOG version is already up to date? Its the Enhanced Edition if it helps (both the first and second games are, actually) Can you play it without magic and all that? Like just using conventional weapons like bows and swords? Looks like it has The Hunter level graphics (like, actually realistic looking forests, which alot of games don't seem to do well) and from the first 3 minutes of the review it doesn't look bad at all. Narcis_speed6
The game should be up-to-date, the amount of content developers made for free is insane. Feels awesome to see developers care so much about the content they release.
Master of San Andreas
Oh yeah forgot to mention - Age of Empires - Call of Duty 4 (Not sure about this but it's requirements are pretty low so it's worth a shot) - Half-Life 1 and 2 - Some of the old FIFA games. - Silent Hill 2 - Resident Evil 4 and below - Most of the strategic games - Fallout 2 and Fallout - The Sims 1,2,3 - SWAT 4 - Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault - Motogp URT 3 - Take a look at any Pre-2005 game Oh and Narcis 'The Witcher' dosen't support 512 MB Ram Link
Narcis_speed6
Oh and Narcis 'The Witcher' dosen't support 512 MB Ram Link That doesn't matter, he can still run the game. Witcher 2 asks for 4GB ram for Windows 7, I can max it out with 2GB without any problems.

winme05
All the Humble Indie Bundle series, both Max Payne games, and Portal. I'm not sure if Portal 2 will run, but as it runs on my Aspire 5735, I think it will. And if FPS is acceptable - BrutalDoom. Jewstinian
I had a PC pretty similar to those kind of specs before, a Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz, a 9500GT, and 4GB of DDR3 800 RAM. It ran Max Payne 3 at atleast 30 FPS at 640x480 on the lowest settings. Battlefield Bad Company 2 also ran fine at 1024x768, achieving around 30-40FPS constant. I don't know how different the Core 2 Duo is from the Athlon X2.
Forty
5GB of ram is hardly low-end, dude.
