Prometheus
I think with the whole new "underworld" scuba diving schools would be a necessity. Yoga school as well of course, I heard you need to level up [lvl 9 at least] and unlock a certificate of achievement on yoga before proceeding to play certain missions or heists. Verdant
If we have all those bike level, boat level etc like GTA SA I don't see why not. I have to agree with PrometheusX though. Upgrading your level on a side activity/school to play specific missions.

richard1997jones
Yes the SA schools were cool but a bit dull and boring. There was no real motive for doing some of the schools which is why I don't really care if there is or isn't.

Racecarlock
I think schools should be strictly a side activity. No bullsh*t like "You must have this license to buy this vehicle" or "You must first complete flight school to be able to even start this aircraft". That would suck in a way GTA has never sucked before.

Technically these schools were "advanced" meaning that you didn't get a license from this schools with the exception of the flight school. I mean think about it, I don't think you need to know how to do a 360 degree spin in mid air to get your regular drivers license at the DMV. omer19992010
I thought its been said that there wouldnt be any rpg type or skill building features They said no rpg elements such as body building and since Michael and Franklin aren't pilots we might need to go to flight school so they can access the airport. Shoumaker
Please use the pinned wishlist thread next time to express your desires for GTA V I thought this was going to be locked but since it isn't, I have to disagree with MVC over here. The flying school may have been a tad annoying when I first did it but they did help me a lot especially the 'destroy targets' test which help me become better in Brown thunder (Vigilante with the Hunter). From the Bike school I learnt how to do the stoppie which was the only useful thing I learnt there. The driving school tests I have to admit were useless expect the P.I.T maneuver which we have to incorporate in 'Zeroing in'. I guess the boating school was there to give players a chance to unlock the Jetmax which is hard to obtain without doing all the tests in Gold. Algonquin Assassin
I'm not a fan of them. I hated how the flying school was incorporated into SA's story and although the driving, bike and boating schools were largely optional I found them to be a waste of time. Did anyone actually use what you learnt in them? I understand how licenses fit into a game like Gran Turismo, but these "schools" feel completely unnecessary in a game like GTA. I'd rather learn naturally than to sit through a bunch of tests "learning" things I'm never going to use. Prometheus
I thought the same way about that with Gran Turismo. Seriously, most of the licenses were a pain in the ass and you never benefit or learn something that might help you while racing, only slow you down if anything. eze e
Would be a entertaining feature but I doubt they'll implement it. Mainly because Trevor knows how fly already, Franklin is a repo man so he's supposed to have good driving skills, and I bet you Mike's also good at rappelling or whatever else. I remember they said with one protagonist it was too unreal because he had to do everything and know how to do anything in game, so my guess is they'll stick to individual skills for each protagonist, with no ability to learn or improve new skills. CalgaryJay
As long as it actually served a purpose, like getting awarded a skill upon completion, I'm on board. I know its not for everybody, but I'm a big fan of leveling in games, loved all that stuff in San Andreas.

CalgaryJay
Fact: Most people can't drive for sh*t it IV. They'll need a driving school in V. Actually on a side note, if you want to get better at driving in HD GTA games, might I recommend playing Vice City on your smartphone. Holy crap is it difficult with the touch screen, its like driving on a sheet of ice everywhere! Been playing for over a month and I'm only now finally starting to really get it down, but its still definitely a challenge. The reason I bring that up is, I finally popped in TBOGT again over the weekend, and after VC on my Galaxy, driving on the XBox was an absolute breeze, I'm so much better than I ever was. /pointless story
DS 17
I hated them when I played SA first, but after a while I replayed these missions several times. In IV I missed the schools a lot.

I haven't started VC yet, but the driving in III is a piece of piss on the Samsung S2. I got used to it much quicker than I did with IV's driving. It's like having a permanent car handling cheat or something.
