Fireman
Nope, this is a fantastic era, look at how much progress we've made over the last 50 years, I wouldn't have missed it, even for all the gold I would've been able to dig up during the gold rushes of 1850

baboultr
I'd hate to have been born in the past, especially pre-19th century, or even in the 19th century for that matter. There were so many diseases, and these were horrible diseases where you had horrible sh*t happening to you. Like massive boils, your extremities falling off and your skin resembling a teenager's face. The cures were even worse than the diseases, they'd hack parts off, shove things where things had no business being shoved and generally just torture you, and then you'd f*cking die. The things that were supposed to help you just made it 10x worse. Everyone was thick as sh*t as well, nobody could read or write. Everyone looked awful, and the teeth. Dear god the teeth! People were hideous back then, and you would have been too. If you were a woman you had it bad, you only had to be accused of being a witch and your ass would either be drowned, burned, or if you were lucky, thrown off a cliff. I would hate it. It'd be sh*t, there was nothing to do except watch a gruesome public execution, or get drunk and have a fist fight. There was no TV, not even radio, not even radio. You'd have a sh*t life and die of old age at 15, leave 20 ugly kids behind along with your wife, who would have to cook one of the ugly kids every now and then just to get by. No thanks. Brilliantly put my friend! these are the exact reasons why I am extremely greatful to be a young man in todays society, i'd love to time travel back and see it all first hand but living in them eras? no one really had any hope, everyone just carried themselves through poverty and pain day in day out, that's no way for anyone to live. Imagine bringing someone from them times to our society today, just imagine how jealous they'd be they weren't born later on, our world would have been unimaginable for them. Little things like that truly make me greatful, more greatful than words could ever describe. But I hate the feeling also that humanity is only just starting to take advantage of technology, that we're only seeing the start of what will be available to us in the distant future. Yeah its only been like what 80 years or something till we found technology i would kill to see 2000 years from now what the world will be like
lloydo
Definitely. I judge the era we live in based on the current state of society. It sucks, balls. Bring me to the crusades or the revolutions.
Pyrrhic
I do. My mum says, due to the music I listen to, she should have given birth to me when she was negative 15 (Being 1960).

Sneakerhead.
I wish I was born in early 80s so I could be old enough to remember the 90s and be a young adult by time the early 2000s (2000-2005) came around.
El Dildo
you know, I've always wished that I was born in the late 50's. that way I could grow up during the 60's and 70's. my first ride @ 16 could have been a classic muscle car. I could have gone to the concerts of some of my favorite bands of all time while they were young and in their prime. I could have even met Martin Luther King or got JFK's autograph, marched during the Civil Rights Movement. good times.
-maddog-
The 60s always fascinated me! So much stuff happening! Would love to be alive to witness the moon landing live! Must have been a magical moment! Apart from that i'd love to be 25 (which i am now) in the late 80s early 90s, to experience bans like Nirvana and Alice in Chains! na89340qv0n34b09q340
I'd love to have been born in 1986, exactly ten years before I was really born. The '90s have always fascinated me. As a kid Nickelodeon GAS was my favorite TV channel, and I'd love to have a childhood where Nickelodeon played that kind of stuff often. Also my favorite restaurant ever would have stuck around until I was twenty; it was a tourist restaurant but Jungle Jim's was f*cking awesome. As for historical eras I'd have liked to lived in Kansas on a ranch during the 1800s. It would have been great to be out there before most other people, when the land was still mostly untamed. Clem Fandango
I don't know why people want to have been born in another era, people have been getting progressively less retarded for a while now, people born before 1985 are like cavemen. lil weasel
When in my pre-teens, yes. Later I became aware of how filthy the days of olde were. And, as I see the 'Time' as a wheel, I expect that we will be moving back to filthy times in the future, too. So knowing what I have now, I would not consider being born into another time. The nice thing about being born is you don't remember the previous life(s) so there is no comparison. However, if I had a T.A.R.D.I.S I would like to tour the times to see if history is correct. Shenmue18
I would have loved to be born in like, 1975 or around that time, child hood in the 80's teenage years in the early 90's young adult years in the mid 90's and young adult years in the late 90's. Shyabang Shyabang
Sometimes I wonder what it would've been like to be born in 1921 and dance like them during the 1940s: Or be born in 1937 and dance like them during the 1950s: .....I think it's the most fun dance for couples. Or be born in 1950 and see how the people react to his tune for the first time in 1963. I'd ask for guitar lessons soon after I hear this: I don't know why people want to have been born in another era, people have been getting progressively less retarded for a while now, people born before 1985 are like cavemen. Mr Rabbit
I think I'm good where I am, born in early 90s best of both words the technology of today and all the music of the past available via aforementioned technology If I had to change my birth-year I would make it a few years on, like mid 90s but then higher uni fees but most of the people I get along with the best are 3-5 or so years younger than me so that's the reason Edited February 22, 2013 by NateShaw92
