GTA IV World Graphics Not Loading

Hi, I am having problems loading world graphics for GTA IV on the PC. When I start the game and exit the save house the world isn't loaded correctly and shows no signs of loading when I move around.

I am running the Steam version of the game if this helps.

My PC specs are: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, Intel Core i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 6GB RAM.

I am unsure of my graphics card, if anyone can tell me how to find out I will.

Here's a picture of what is happening: http://imgur.com/5IraCat

Thankyou for taking your time to read this and if you need information about something please ask,

Cheers

(Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I am new. I will happily remove it, if it is)

Do you use any kind of mods? Tried re-installing? What about removing your game settings?

If none work, I suggest you un-install and re-install your game and video drivers. More specific, take a look at this solution, it might help you.

I assume you have an Intel HD Graphics card, and there's not enough amount of VRAM for the game. You should increase the view distance in order to fix that problem. Make a .txt file named commandline in the game's main directory and copy/paste the following:

-nomemrestrict-availablevidmem 1.5

Then set the View Distance to anything around 10-20.

Thanks, this worked. However I had to change the '-availablevidmem' from 1.5 to 5.
