It seems people are blinded by nostalgia, the first and second trailer looked like ASS compared to the final game, not so much the third and foruth trailer though, they looked good. What does this have to do with GTA V? Well, do you think it will be the same this time, final game will look miles better while people still claim it doesn't? Or will it look worse? Discuss. EncryptedReality Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) Not everything was worse, those few "better" things woulda make better cause for all our mods (in taking screenshots, e.g IV:SA) One of those things is that Sun had a real haze like RDR and MP3(also V and almost every other damn game), it also had shadows rendering in longer range Having ferry in the game, R* probably planned for a better use of fragmental objects, e.g bigger mass. When you look at some shots from early 2012 you realise that in comparison with how it looks now, it looks terrible. GTA games will always improve dramatically from reveal to launch. Most of the screens for IV looked extremely poor compared to the final product too. This can only be good of course, considering many of the V screens look really sharp, which would initially lead me to believe the actual game will look even better. But then having watched the trailers, I wouldn't say they look that great. But they were the first 2 also. I'm a little conflicted at the moment as to what to expect of the end product. You can adjust stuff like that in-game, if GTA V had that option just like IV so its all good, nothing to complain about. -- I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks IV's trailer looked worse than the final game, i always used to hear how the final build of V will look worse than it's trailers "just like IV" or whatever and i just couldn't fathom how can anyone think IV's trailer looked better than the final build. Heres hoping the 3rd trailer will reveal all in terms of graphics. Just sort of expect RDR's graphics with a modern LA setting. The screens (and trailers, in my opinion) actually show an improvement over it, but you never really know until the final product, so it's best to expect something less than the best case scenario, so that it's either pleasant surprise when it exceeds your expectations or not a disappointment when it doesn't.
