No you've got it all wrong. Fanboys typically wait until features are officially announced before admitting that they wanted them, that way when a much anticipated feature doesn't make it they can still plausibly say it is a stupid idea and was a good call by the developer..

No it isn't like that at all.. I could explain to you why, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you can figure out for yourself why that argument isn't applicable.

GTA V will blow people away at a level no one properly anticipates yet.

There are for sure some big surprises Rockstar has in store for us regarding GTA V. I'm willing to bet money that at least one of those two mentioned above will be in the game.

 

Rockstar wouldn't even have to make new graphics / animations because both snow and horse riding were present in Red Dead Redemption. Also keep in mind that we saw cattle on the Grapeseed Los Santos photo viewer, and that there is snow on the mountains on the Trevor quad artwork. So that increases the odds, but the one thing that actually could unallow them to recycle those features are the space it takes on the disk, and we don't know what figures we're dealing with there.

 

I really see a strong possibility. What do you think?

Seriously when is the last time it snowed in LA? Doubt they would put snow in. Expect that in 2018 in GTA6 Tundra city.

 

Anyway, as for that CEO quote, to be honest I have lost so much enthusiasm and that once beautiful spark of joy I had specially reserved in my heart for GTAV that Nothing can really set that flame alight again. I think we have seen all we need to see and heard all we can hear about his game.

 

The only way they can blow me away is if they have another city in the game.

I would like for there to be snow on the high mountains, and I would love horses, but since the delay, I seriously doubt that R* will add much of anything new. In fact, I bet they stripped it just like they did IV. This isn't the same R* that made GTA III and San An. I'll believe it when I see it. It's just like that screen of the submersible sub; I bet we can't even use it--it's probably just in a mission. R* have pulled sh*t like this in the past. I guess that's their idea of "marketing". Now, I don't even expect forklifts to work(just like in IV) and we probably will not be able to haul cars and other objects on 18 wheelers. They probably took the trailers out(just like in IV). I hope I eat my words but I think that the R* that we all knew and loved is gone and now it's just a company trying to make billions.

 

The R* "we once knew" has been using mission only features for aslong as I remember so why are you just targetting GTA IV and now GTA V?

The game would have been out two years ago and we'd be talking about GTAVI if that were the case. I know it's a matter of opinion, and I too remember the R* of the past but you know...I like where they are now even more, and they got here by doing things their way. Seems to have worked out pretty well for them.

 

OT: I voted neither because while I think there is a decent chance of both features making it into the game, there are a lot of other things that would blow me away way more. I'm thinking of those small details that only R* think of and implement perfectly, like how gun fights went seamlessly from interior to exterior in RDR for example.

I hated trying to fire out of windows while in cover in RDR.. It seemed very broken

I'd love snow. It would be even better if it accumulated and got on the characters clothes as they walked through it but that's probably asking for too much on this gen. I don't really care for horses though.

More likely than not they're just putting their MBA rubbish into good practice.

Don't know what to tell you man, it was and still is all aim/shoot for me. Maybe you were pressing too many buttons? Anyway, I really enjoyed freely running in and out of buildings/windows during gun fights, and the interiors were sooo much better than IV. I hope improve on this in V.

 

My two cents, and definitely more impressive to me than the snow and horse riding of RDR, which, if brought to GTA would seem kinda weird. At least the horses part.
