The big surprises they have in store

GTA V will blow people away at a level no one properly anticipates yet.

There are for sure some big surprises Rockstar has in store for us regarding GTA V. I'm willing to bet money that at least one of those two mentioned above will be in the game.

 

Rockstar wouldn't even have to make new graphics / animations because both snow and horse riding were present in Red Dead Redemption. Also keep in mind that we saw cattle on the Grapeseed Los Santos photo viewer, and that there is snow on the mountains on the Trevor quad artwork. So that increases the odds, but the one thing that actually could unallow them to recycle those features are the space it takes on the disk, and we don't know what figures we're dealing with there.

 

I really see a strong possibility. What do you think?

Also do you really think that was the Take 2 CEO thought when he said that statement?

"Oh, just you wait, there will be snow in the game!!! MUHAHAHA!!"

 

Also, as you said it yourself, it was done before in RDR. Do you think people will be blown away by reused assets from an old R* game?

I hope there is snow, this is rather 'important' to me, but I think there will be.

Horse riding would be nice, there is a chance they throw it in there combined with 1 or 2 missions, but I can certainly live without it.

Wouldve been cool if they had put snow in Liberty City since NY does get it. Even better, seasons! Maybe a mission like a heist pulled off in a blizzard/big snow fall. I woulda loved to jack a snow plow lol.

I honestly think horses (rideable) will be a feature left with RDR. I'd love to be wrong, but it just seems like such a defining feature for RDR to re-use in another game.

Snow? I dunno, maybe. I'd rather not have it, the framerate drops in the snow area of Tall Trees was a bitch, so I could do without.

 

The real things to blow me away are the small nuances of a Rockstar game.

Those things are so basic and they have been in so many other games that I dont think they would be the big surprise or key feature in V. They both might be in it. But I think Rockstar will be a little more creative with new features than snow and horses.

I'd definitely love to have horses!! Imagine riding up the horses in the streets of Los santos and gunning people down with the mini Uzi and you can get away through small alleyways unlike having a car !

I would like for there to be snow on the high mountains, and I would love horses, but since the delay, I seriously doubt that R* will add much of anything new. In fact, I bet they stripped it just like they did IV. This isn't the same R* that made GTA III and San An. I'll believe it when I see it. It's just like that screen of the submersible sub; I bet we can't even use it--it's probably just in a mission. R* have pulled sh*t like this in the past. I guess that's their idea of "marketing". Now, I don't even expect forklifts to work(just like in IV) and we probably will not be able to haul cars and other objects on 18 wheelers. They probably took the trailers out(just like in IV). I hope I eat my words but I think that the R* that we all knew and loved is gone and now it's just a company trying to make billions.

I came in here expecting something totally epic, but snow and horses?

 

Anyway, I'm willing to bet my left testicle that snow will be included, but I think having horses, or the ability to ride horses would be too similar to RDR, so I don't believe that will be an included feature for V.

I reckon they'll have horse riding. But i'm not so sure about snow.. I know some of the mountains around LA get snow, but i'm not sure if that's only a seasonal thing, or when GTAV will be set, probably spring

 

They have tended towards authenticity though so i'm not sure.. Do the mountains get snow-capped in spring?

Neither I think it's going to be how they handle the multiplayer. IV was just a toe in the water in terms of what could be done in multiplayer, if they do V's multiplayer right it will be the multiplayer experience of the generation.
