saintsrow
I appreciate your topic and I hope you get some good and creative replies. However, my opinion is that most plot twists (in movie scripts or video games) are easy mechanisms to renew a sense of drama, and are a cheap way out for less competent scriptwriters. In that vein, I think at the end, when the credits roll, Chop wakes up in the corner of a field in the countryside near Los Santos and thinks, wow dawg, what a dream -- geez, I dreamed that I was 3 different humans and I kept switching between them and driving cars all over the place, instead of chasing cars like I do in real life. Whoa, that wore me out. I'm hungry - I'm gonna catch me a couple of rabbits for dinner, then I think I will howl at the moon for a while. EDIT: and then go find me a bitch in heat Edited February 19, 2013 by saintsrow

simonp92
So you're expecting plot twists? Seems very redundant.
BUT THE BENZ
What kind of plot twists do you expect to be in V? I can kinda imagine Michael going against his buddies this has got to be like the 5th time (CONSPIRACY) that I hear people saying Michael will backstab the other two..... not gonna happen. if people here mentioned it as a twist, R* writers ought to do like 5 times better and more unexpected than this. so a forseeable twist a la "okay i made enuff money now and the itch is gone, i really retire now, and give your names to the popo" is hopefully not planned....i would be disappointed by that pretty much

Dude, seen THE PRESTIGE? If not, go see it, and then pls come back here to tell me that the director did a 'not so competent job' on writing the script. The movie is like a TWIST from the beginning to the end, and certainly isn't poorly written. I get what you're sayin though....ther are bad examples of "BUT THEN WHO IS THE KILLER?.....*swooosh*....It was me! ....BUT WE THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!.....well, I just faked my death!....*TWIIIIIIST* and that is indeed poor writing...but there' some real awesome approaches and executions to find if you look for movies with a TWIST

I like plot twist, they give the player a reason to keep playing so they can get back at the reason for the Plot twist

Oh look, I can recreate absolutely anything. What on earth should I use such a device for? Replicating diamonds, gold bars, a harem of identical Scarlet Johanssons, solving world hunger? No, I'll use it to frame my rival for murder. Completely killed the movie for me. Edited February 19, 2013 by jamieleng

GTA-King
This will happen with Trevor and Tracy during a heist: But logically speaking, I think Michael & Trevor revealing themselves to be the antagonists at a certain point in the story seems likely. I mean, Michael is definitely a sociopath and Trevor is obviously a psychopath... so it would make sense if them two put the entire group at odds. I talked about this more in deffpony's antagonist thread, so let me go grab the quote. Here it is: Michael is the sociopath and Trevor is the psychopath... which means Franklin is the balance of those two traits. So it would make sense, if in the end, Franklin would have to decide who doesn't weigh the most... and kill him. So in that essence, I guess you could say Franklin is the "pure" protagonist, whereas Michael & Trevor are both the protagonists/antagonists... but one of them dies at the end depending on the player's choice. Another ending could be when the protagonists/antagonists win (Michael & Trevor) because they put their differences aside to team up and kill Franklin (the pure protagonist) because they know he's going to kill one of them (kind of like if Dwayne and Playboy X teamed up to kill Niko).
