If the 'lamp' next to the username is yellow then it means the user is online, if it's colorless like it's the case now with me then it means the user is offline. However, if you're anonymous then the 'lamp' is colourless as well. If you look at my profile then you will see that my last activity was just recently.

Any user can sign in anonymously. Simply meaning, they are hidden from the active user list; however, mods and admins can still see who is signed in anonymously.
