LoreLegend
So yeah I FINALLY get to upgrade my CPU but I was wondering how much FPS am I able to get with everything maxed out with these specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits MSI Geforce GTX 660 Ti Power Edition OC 2GB Intel i5 3570 3.4 GHz 8GB DDR3 600W Power supply Edited February 16, 2013 by LoreLegend
luceberg
My guess would be mid 30's to 40's fps. If you want faster, you need to overclock the cpu.

I don't need GTA IV maxed out on 60 fps I just want a GTA IV maxed out which would run smooth at about 35-45 fps Edited February 16, 2013 by LoreLegend
yoječ
This rig should be enough to deliver what you expect.
Prometheus
You could try overclocking gradually till you get the framerate you're willing to have, but I would say there won't be any need to go over 4.2GHz, specially if you're using a stock cooler. lydianduck
Well, I can give you my 2 cents. on Patch #7 maxed out @1080p on my [email protected] and 680, I drop to around 28fps when huge explosions are going on during rainy weather etc, which is terrible considering the hardware. On patch #4 on the same circunstances I drop to like 35-38fps. I just don't max it out altogether, it's just not worth it. For the record, I keep my computer clean and defragged with no crap in it and my OS installation is just a few weeks old. -edit- Personally, I limit the game to 30fps, since I think it's what the game engine is aimed to given its 'console nature', lower some settings and mod the hell out of it; I never drop below 30 and it looks incredible with icenhancer, texture mods etc and it's pretty smooth.
