mitchnorton
Does anyone know what PC setup those guys are using to max out GTA 4 at 1080p without lag? Here's their latest video:
Prometheus
It could be anything from a Quad-core CPU [i5-2500k], 4GB RAM and a GTX 470/HD 5870 and up. If I recall correctly GTA IV needs something along 1203MB of GDDR5 VRAM to be maxed out.
mitchnorton
I have those specs and I can't get keep above 30fps. Many people with the most powerful systems today can't run it maxed out without lag either.
Prometheus
If you have the GTX 470, then it's completely normal. It's what you pretty much expect from the card in terms of performance. A GTX 570 and an i5 2500k OCed at 4.5GHz should run the game maxed out at least at 40FPS I believe.
mitchnorton
People with GTX 680's can't get stable fps maxed out
Prometheus
People with GTX 680's can't get stable fps maxed out I'm not sure what you mean by stable FPS, but obviously the framerate fluctuates of course. Overall it depends on the PC's specifications, not just the GPU alone.
luceberg
That is a very skillful player on the video. I run a Q9650 @ 4Ghz and a GTX470 in HD and mine goes as well as that. I don't "max out" the graphics settings though, and I doubt the guys who made the video did either.
