Trund
Satellite Internet just has a horrible ping, ergo all online games will be completely horrible, you will just lag the games and other players will not want to play with you, you'll probably end up being kicked all the time anyways. You have to remember that your connection is established via a satellite in the geostationary orbit, which is at around 35000km. Twice the distance makes 70000km for the signal to go back and forth. That alone already has a delay of nearly a 1/4 second (240ms at closest distance). Now your connection is going through servers and all that and add another delay, so in the end you will have a ping of around 300-1000ms (those are all values I've heard from satellite users). For most online games you need at least a ping of under 150ms, for shooters even a ping of under 50ms to have a good result. But I guess you can always do a speedtest @ www.speedtest.net , you'll see that the resulting ping will not be any good, sorry.
