serimos6 Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 (edited) PLEASE READ ALL OF THE RULES BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS GAME MODE General Rules -Blips are set to off (completely) -Each player must disable his/her radar and hud in the options menu before the game starts. -Traffic and foot traffic are both disabled, so the entire city is completely deserted apart from the survivors and the infected. -Modding is strictly prohibited, and if any mod-use is discovered that player will be kicked immediately by unanimous vote. -Age limit is set to 15+, with some possible exceptions. -Chat is on local only, so if you run too far ahead of your team you run the risk of being lost -At the lobby menu whichever island the majority of the players want to play, I will pick. -From there we pick which half of that island we will play in (to insure there's activity at all times and so zombies have a better chance of finding survivors) -The game starts with 1 zombie (either a volunteer or a chosen player inside of the lobby), and the others are known as survivors (for now) -When the game starts the zombie then proceeds to get as far away from the survivors (out of voice range) and hides for the remainder of the day. -During the day zombies and the infected can not be caught out in the sun-light. -The very first night is when the zombies are now free to find the survivors who had the day to find their hiding places and get ready. -In the day survivors can do as they please, such as find good areas to hide, but be weary a zombie may already be inside hiding from the sun. Gameplay Rules -RPG's are the only weapon that's strictly banned -ladder camping is prohibited, and will result in a kick if it is obviously abusive and un-fair for the zombie hoard. -Both survivors & zombies have the ability to drive, however for zombies & the infected it's only at night. Survivor Rules -Any kind of activity is allowed during the day & players have the ability to attain any special car they wish as long as they return during the same day, and not be gone during night as well. -Banned Areas (Algonquin): Playboy's Mansion & The Firehouse -If stabbed by a Zombie/Infected, you must instantly pull your knife out and turn on your fellow survivors. -Killing other survivors is allowed, however you may want to make friends as well so you can survive the harsh nights. -There can only be one winner in the very, very end. -At night it is suggested you find a good place to bunker down and be prepared, and get as many weapons and ammo as you can find (except the RPG) -It is against the rules to commit suicide during a zombie attack to avoid infection, if you do die during an invasion, you are automatically declared infected, as zombies could easily have access to your corpse. Zombie Rules -The first zombie picked must choose the Banana Hammock Zombie outfit. -Zombies are allowed to drive, but they CAN NOT use their cars as blunt objects to hit other people. -Zombies also can not drive in the sun either, just because theres a roof over you doesn't mean the sun isnt getting in through the windows. -During the day zombies & infected are NOT allowed in the sun. -Zombies & Infected must always have their knives in their hand. -To infect a survivor, simply get to them by either sneaking up or over-running them and stabbing them once. -Once you are infected you are a zombie until the very end of the match, no ifs ands or buts. -It's best suggested to be as quiet as you can, survivor's guns hurt a lot. -Only stab survivors, DO NOT KILL THEM Helpful Tips -Knifing headlights might sound strange to you now, but just wait, you'll see. -The best hiding places are the ones no one knows about. -Make use of your parkour skills to set yourself up for a long night of zombie killing or hiding -Making noise of any kind at night is strongly un-suggested, unless you're looking for a fight -The higher the climb, the farther the fall. Good Luck to you with this event. The strange thing is it really was extremely popular about 3 years ago, and i was sure it would be around for a long time. But i guess somewhere along the line the event planner got busy or whatever and no one else took the reigns, but yes im hoping for a lot of people to be interested, i also have a lot of really old xbox friends that played the old game mode with me as well. Piloting skills won't be needed as helicopters are banned, it's mainly a ground game with cars and hiding, the one in the video from 4 years ago was for a youtube kind of movie-like scene haha, but trust me, it's much better with no helicopters. And as far as your concern with my consistency; I'm not so lazy i can't organize an awesome event 2 days out of the week believe me, for my own sake i need to keep this running so i am as into it as anyone else here Welcome to the game-mode! It appears that members are signing up at a nice speed, so as i said before, once we get over 10, the games shall begin. I also recently added a new question to the application to make sure everyone gets the rules, but you guys don't need to answer it for who is in, but you guys should still know all the rules haha.
