How Much of This Can Be Considered "True"?

Just stumbled across an old Article from November, 2011. Within the article lies a lot of info that I believe has been confirmed ever since. Considering this speculation was released shortly after the first trailer, and keeping in mind what we have seen/heard over the past year and a bit, how much of this info can we consider to be true? For the most part, it all looks good to me and seems very reasonable. There are also some things in here that I have not heard about which may or may not be true, but am hoping they are because they sound really cool. What do you guys think?

This has been brought up many times on the forum.

 

Here's the problem with this so called "leak".

 

1. This was originally posted in November 2011, a day after the first trailer, on GTA Forums over here (the article you linked even links to this post).

2. The person claimed he works for a UK based PlayStation magazine that saw a preview of the game via WEBCAM to Rockstar North in Scotland.

3. In a later post, he later claimed he work for PSM3. This magazine didn't receive a preview on the game, EVER. Not even this year when Rockstar started the previews.

4. This person claimed we'll see the preview in January 2011.

 

Some problems with that:

 

Rockstar didn't showcase the game to anyone outside of the company, certainly not press, until a year later after this in October 2012 in a luxurious apartment in SoHo, NYC.

 

This isn't a company that showcases their games via webcam to the offices of a magazine. They showcase them in person with security guards at the door. Not to mention, it's their publishing offices (New York or London) that show the game to press, not the Rockstar North studio in Scotland. It's crazy to think anyway that Rockstar would stream the game over the internet for anyone to record and potentially leak out.

 

All of this is based on assumptions anyone could have made. The fact that he got the main character appearance description right is because by the time his post was written, the first trailer was out.

 

Oh, and, you'd think that if this person knew so much about the game... he'd have at least known that there's more than 1 main character. But in the end, it's entirely false in that Rockstar didn't show the game to press until a year after this.

 

It also can't be an employee, as his IP address is located a long ways from any Rockstar office. It's a troll.
