MattyIce Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 First and foremost, welcome to my first post. Now, regarding Agility amongst other things.. After having played the Ballad of Gay Tony for the past few days (in an attempt to soften the release delay teabag R* placed gracefully on my chin), I quickly realized my (very) few frustrations with the game.. For one, Agility- By this I mean: player's movement quickness. Well, it sucked. Instead of controlling a steamy, sweaty, chiseled-to-perfection Latin douchebag, I felt as if I was controlling C.J, 17 bleeder shot burgers deep. I'd like to hop fences, twirl in circles and creepily invade pedestrians space with the athleticism and fluidity of an Olympic triathlete. (One can dream). Two, Arrests- Now I don't know if this annoyed the living sh*t out of y'all like it did me, but when given 1 star and a police officer gets within arms length of you, weapon drawn, I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO PRESS A/X(ps3) TO IVADE THEM. I want to be able to roundhouse them, sweep kick them or run in a SWIFT (back to agility) and timely manner, without getting the automatic 3 bullets in my chest. If I want to actually give up (who the f**k would want that) let me do that by just standing there and allowing the arrest to happen. *Summary*- Get rid of the having to press A/X button to evade arrest. And finally- R*, in light of the recent delay, I think it only fitting that we are given REALISTIC BONERS when performing deviant sexual acts with a prosti-er-I-mean Housers' mom. Thoughts? K-Malo94 Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 On top of that I wish they would do away with the whole pressing A/X to run. if you want to walk just slightly push the thumbstick. it's kinda frustration during shootouts when you're moving like a slug while trying to aim. What I really want is everything up to running/heavy jog should be all handled by the thumbstick and you should never run out of breath with just that. If you press the x/a button you should do a real sprint. Not what we've seen in GTA IV, but something really fast for a short period of time and this you will run out of breath eventually. I Made a post about a surrender option, maybe this can come into play with that. You put your hands up in the air, and when they approach you, grab em..... That was one of the most annoying things in IV. Just finished sniping and need to make a quick getaway? Well, not until we make a phone call to let the mission giver know how good of a job we did! In IV, when running from the cops on 1 star, even at full sprint, the cops (even the fat ones) were right behind me. I want to be able to grab the cop trying to arrest me, and use him as a human shield. Also, I want a surrender button, since if I know I won't survive, I'd rather just surrender than die. Surrender button ? Maybe if you don't press any button for like 5 seconds, you automatically surrender. Just run away to try to evade the cops. Clem Fandango Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Good post. I hate how changing directions seemed to be a lengthy, complicated procedure for Luis. I think they really need to overhaul the whole hand to hand combat thing in conjuncture with that. I don't want it to be as easy as it was in San Andreas where you could kick a cop in the face and be stomping the crap out of him within seconds, but it would be nice if it were quicker and more dynamic without sacrificing the challenge: maybe they could give you more moves with faster movement (fighting styles anyone?) and give the peds a bit more health.
