What group are you passively mocking here? Jamaicans? Chavs? British hipsters? I've never seen such speak, it reminds me of Orcs from middle earth for some reason. The category of people that powerslide their Citroen Saxos around the Tesco carpark conveying their resentment of "the system" by means of an outward manifesation of loud dubstep. Sneakerhead.
I give a month or two before it dies out. You are wrong, it's getting wider and wider! Fire fighter one is pretty funny..
MIKON8ERISBACK
This is not the next Gangnam style. It's more like... the next "planking" or "coning". It'll die out soon enough. In fact, it's already gotten pretty old. Gangnam style allowed for a lot of parodies. This will get really old real soon because of its simplistic nature. Exactly. I'm not a big fan of the genres that Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake utilize, but if I had to choose one, I would choose Gangnam Style. Gangnam Style, as you said, allowed for a lot of parodies and continuities on the music video, whereas this is just one of those overly simple dances from elementary school that I hated. They are overly simple and awkward in nature as natethegreatforlife put it so well.
dannyz
I hope this one stays around for a while. I hate Gangnam style and thought it was stupid from the start. The Harlem Shake is so stupid and crazy I think it's funny as hell. Edited February 15, 2013 by dannyz
MIKON8ERISBACK
In short: I am NOT looking forward to having to listen to that or put up with it. People at my school are often heavily into internet memes and music such as this, unfortunately. Gangnam Style was bad enough. Let's hope this gets old and dies as quick as some people think it will. ryuclan
Don't think it should be called the Harlem Shake. For a second I thought that it was actually coming back *shudders*. Anyway some videos are good, some not so much. I like the song, but I'm probably gonna ignore this one

ThunderSt0rm
Feels fake. Or like someone trying to make an inside joke universally appreciated. It's already dead. Rown Not dead, it's still active. I don't get why people hate it so much, even with gangnam style, they hate it. I love em both, they are awesome . Gangnam style isn't dying and still active, so as Harlem Shake. Funny thing is that it feels more like the new planking to me

Guest
Okay, that's enough Harlem Shake to be honest. It was funny the first few times, and now some twat will post it on Facebook and then all the kids will see and then start screaming "LOL HARLEM SHAKE" for the next few f*cking months, just like Gangnam Style. And just like Gangnam Style, it will piss me off.
mrpain
Some of you may hate me for this, but I'll probably be doing a video soon too. Gonna get everyone I know and hey since my country is small, why not get everybody else? Yeah yeah it's becoming this new fad but hey one million views per video ain't too shabby. Brobinski
Sadly it's caught on at my University. I was near the Library today so no idea how I didn't notice this. I just...Meh. Mother*cker! I just got back from one at uni today, and we were aiming to be the first UK uni one (or so the organiser kept saying). We might be the first one that was officially condoned by the uni though I guess. They let us raid a props cupboard and stuff and let out the lecture theatres. Nevermind though, still had a great laugh and should have a good video up by tomorrow! This is the next generation of the university educated class, older people, look upon your work and weep. Benjimino234
I actually really like this! I find it funny and original (even though it's not, it is a meme) but there's always one guy or girl doing something ridiculous and cracks me up. It's up for interpretation so people can just do the most craziest things and it's fun to see it the first time or spot them in the background. WorldofCog
Great. Another f*cking Gangnam Style. As if I didn't already have enough of that song, now we have another new similar fad. Also, get ready to see a bunch of 12-year olds thinking it's the best song ever and using it everywhere they go.
Kwabs
Great. Another f*cking Gangnam Style. I don't think this can be compared to Gangnam Style. Gangnam Style was a decent song, and this is just.. sad.

Creed Bratton
I still haven't seen Harlem Shake. And you know what, I don't even want to. I'm not judging people who like it. How can I when I don't even know what it is. I just feel like my mind is already full of clutter like Gangnam style, Thrift shop and that Alex Jones rant on Pierce Morgan show. I need a vacation. Somewhere where useless information can't reach me.
bread
Some of you people who've come in here putting shame on the Harlem Shake might hate me for this, but me and my friends are planning to do this Monday at the boardwalk. I mean hey, some of them are pretty funny because of what some certain people do in the background. But whatever, expect a video from me soon I guess.
