I<3GTAV
Let's see here, the first one looks like a gay party. The second looks like autisitc teenagers trying to make something of themselves, and the third looks like a mix of both. Dances get dumber and dumber everyday. Moth
So, one person starts dancing like an idiot, then a few seconds later, it infects everyone else in the room? How did this become a thing? The music isn't even good! Gangnam Style was at least a decent song, this on the other hand, just sucks. But I did like this video Cause Skyrim mods. Sgt. Foley
Another stupid dance craze just like that sh*tty Korean sh*t Gangnam Style. Get the hell out of here.
GreatGig
You guys are taking this far too literally, just calm down and enjoy the absurdity. That's exactly why I find it amusing; the absurdity. You have one lonely dude who's wearing a helmet and thrusting violently, next thing you know there's people humping walls, doing handstands, all sorts of sh*t that makes no sense. I honestly can't see how anyone could see this as being a serious "thing". Still, just like all the other internet trends that have spawned, this too shall fade away into obscurity and never be spoken of again. So if you don't like it, just wait about five minutes and it'll be safe to come out again.
Harley
Harlem Shake sounds like a crude sexual maneuver. "Hooked up with Tina last night, I made her dinner and she was so grateful she gave me a Harlem Shake. Oh that reminds me, I need to buy new sheets. And a carton of milk." How did this become a thing? The music isn't even good! Gangnam Style was at least a decent song, this on the other hand, just sucks. Yeah, Gangnam style was catchy and had a cool beat behind it. This is a little bit funny, But I doubt it's going to be number one in more than 30 countries and get a billion hits on youtube.

Adriaan
This is not the next Gangnam style. It's more like... the next "planking" or "coning". It'll die out soon enough. In fact, it's already gotten pretty old. Gangnam style allowed for a lot of parodies. This will get really old real soon because of its simplistic nature. Capricornus
Yes, exactly as IM_YOUR_GOD says. The sh*t is old as hell as was being done way back in the EARLY 2000s. If anything, it died, got revitalized and was modified like it is in these vids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harlem_shake Posted vids are pretty funny though. Adriaan
or "coning". What the f*ck is coning? Someone started that back in 2011: It's another example of something so simple that anyone can do. Just an easy fad that quickly got old and died off, just like the Harlem Shake thing will. Triple Vacuum Seal
Where have you been for the past 32 years OP? The Harlem shake is by no means new. I know your in Scotland, but it's sad that an idea this prevalent has to take the form of a meme in 2013 to diffuse beyond Urban American culture. This new generation... TheGodDamnMaster
Gangnam style emerged from a single source. This seems to be a collaborative effort, because god knows how it caught on so quickly. Forced memes are usually bad. Except in extremely rare cases like this. I think it works because it tends to both fit in with and piss off /b/ at the same time. They're not actually doing the Harlem Shake dance that's just the name of the meme and the part of the song where it comes up is when everyone in the room goes insane, I personally think it's hilarious. I must have watched a dozen of these the other day, it's a good time killer.
