radioman
The problem is the Video card-that card is not capable at running at higher than 1024X768 resolution with lowish-medium settings..Especially with an I3 processor, as I have an I5 and a 5470, and the game runs great(with memrestrict command line and Patch 4) @ 1024X768 and Medium settings(but the I5 is a little higher end, as it is a Quad whereas the I3 is only a Dual core with Hyper threading)...So, if you want to play IV at decent fps, you will have to lower the resolution(and more than likely some settings-depending on what you're using now?) theamansingh
So what changes should be made to run it at high graphics...
radioman
So what changes should be made to run it at high graphics... A new Video card-at least a HD 6770 or better...However, that would depend on if you are on a desktop or a laptop? As if you are on a desktop you can upgrade the Video card, yet if you are on a laptop, there really isn't much you can do as laptop video cards cannot be changed out... Cody5699
Try this GTA IV Mod made by me. Smooths gameplay and may help let you increase graphics until you start to lag a little. http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=22657
theamansingh
Thanks @ radio man.. Should I change the processor or it is ok?
radioman
Thanks @ radio man.. Should I change the processor or it is ok? Judging by your specs above, it looks like the video card is the only thing holding you back. Also, do you have the latest SP for Windows 7(which is SP1)? Prometheus
You should aim for a GDDR5 video card, not DDR3 only. What's your budget?
