how to insert GTA SA downloaded savegame?

Hi,

 

I've been trying to finish GTA SA for a while now and been stuck on the same mission. I have now given up (I know it is bad) and am trying to insert a friends finished save game in my game (that i had purchased from itunes so it's not pirated). The problem is that I cant seem to find how to, or with which file should i replace it. Please help.

There should be a folder called save games under your Windows account. Just place the save game in there and when you load a save game you will see it.

The location of the folder is different for WinXP and Win Vista, 7, 8.

Easiest way is to do a search "GTA SA"

or Run this and it should show you what that folder is.

On any OS, go to this location: \My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files --> just place there the save and load the game.

However, if you want someone to pass the mission for you on your own save, request it here.

All files starting with GTASAsf (example GTASAsf1.b or GTASAsf6.b) are save files located in "My Documents/GTA San Andreas User Files" folder, where the ending numbers tells in which slot the save file will appear ingame.

There is also the matter of Version.

The Download game is version 3.

Your friends game if DVD is version 2, which should be compatable.

However, if your friends game is an original DVD (2005) it would be version 1, which is not compatable.

On Windows 2000 and XP the directory is:

My Documents>GTA SA User Files.

 

 

On Windows Vista, 7 and 8, its:

Libraries>Documents>GTA SA User Files
