Mighty4
when i start up GTA IV on steam almost all of the textures are invisible. you are still able to see cars people and essential parts of the mission such as the hot dog cart near the beginning of the game. I can usually get around 45 FPS during game play and for some reason my computer wont load the textures it isn't forced to. This is a video showing what is happening: ... in this video the game seems to be moving very slow but that is just because i am using Bandicam and not Fraps and bandicam does not run well on my computer, can anyone help with this or has anyone seen this problem for themselves? Here are my system specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.111118-2330) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA System Model: Satellite L755 BIOS: InsydeH2O Version 03.60.452.80 Processor: Intel® Pentium® CPU B950 @ 2.10GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4044MB RAM Page File: 3142MB used, 4943MB available Windows Dir: C:\windows DirectX Version: DirectX
Prometheus
Can you post the [graphics] settings you're currently using? It could be caused because of the view distance.

Prometheus
Can you post the [graphics] settings you're currently using? It could be caused because of the view distance. Even if it is, it wot let me change my settings, when i go try to i can only turn them down, not up That's because your GPU isn't powerful enough, or rather doesn't have enough VRAM. You can create a commandline.txt file in the game's main directory and copy/paste the lines: -availablevidmem 1.5-nomemrestrict That would help in removing the restrictions, which you'll need to increase the view distance to solve your problem, but it may cause the GPU to overheat as well as other issues. You can also lower the resolution and the rest of the settings.

Prometheus
You should post your PC specs, and the graphics settings you're using. Also just to let you know, if you have an Intel GPU, then it's definitely causing the issue.
