Since silencers have been added I expect stealth

I would be amping up about it, but looking at Rockstar's track record for stealth in their video games, it doesn't look good. Everyone expecting features out of Hitman and Splinter Cell, prepare to be disappointed.

 

I wish it could be true, that silencers have a purpose and that we can sneak around the guard dogs protecting houses but I just have no faith. We seem to get one stealth mission a game (excluding MP3 were the stealth lats until you take your first shot).

I hope they also add hide in the shadows system from Manhunt in the game.

This was in SA, there were shadow spots where you could hide at to avoid guards at Mad Dog's mansion.

 

It should return, and if the cops don't see you, they don't come up to you like in the past Gta's where they see you through buildings and trees.

Man why cant they add that to the wanted system?

I'm really hoping this goes on to Gta V tbh, improved.

houser already said that wanted system will hardly change.. i was like wtf??

When did he say that. The only thing I remember it was from G.I. Or ign when they asked about the wanted system they said it's still being worked on.

Most definitely. By the way people, they're suppressors, not silencers. In most cases, a suppressor just dampens the sound of a gunshot by no more than 20 decibels. It still sounds like a regular gunshot. Hell, my unsuppressed .22 LR rifle has a lower sound signature than most suppressed handguns.

I love stealth! I really hope, and i'm sure, R* will include engaging and exciting stealth missions within the game.

Most definitely. By the way people, they're suppressors, not silencers. In most cases, a suppressor just dampens the sound of a gunshot by no more than 20 decibels. It still sounds like a regular gunshot. Hell, my unsuppressed .22 LR rifle has a lower sound signature than most suppressed handguns.

That classic 'Hollywood' supressor sound is cool though tounge.gif

 

I think it would add a new level of depth to GTA if they do introduce supressors, I know it isn't a stealth focused game but it would be cool if we get a modern day representation of missions like in Mad Dog's mansion or infiltrating the military base, where enemies don't immediately know you're there. As far as I remember the shootouts in GTA IV and its expansions were always immediately into action, not with enemies that don't know you're there.

It's obvious there will be atleast a few missions with stealth but I think Michael will have his own style and he will be the most stealthy of the bunch since he's the oldest.

 

I imagine franklin been the more of a getaway driver and the contract man for anybody that messes with the trios business and its obvious Trevor will be the crazy mo fo that will blow your house up if u don't pay him his money or give him free drugs or maybe because he ain't got nothing else to do lol.

Well, i'm obviously gonna have to hire a hitman to play stealth for me

God I hope there is stealth. I love it. I recently started playing Skyrim and it has a very good stealth system, it's really immersive. You're sneaking all around can listen to people's conversations and stuff.

It's obvious there will be atleast a few missions with stealth but I think Michael will have his own style and he will be the most stealthy of the bunch since he's the oldest.

 

I imagine franklin been the more of a getaway driver and the contract man for anybody that messes with the trios business and its obvious Trevor will be the crazy mo fo that will blow your house up if u don't pay him his money or give him free drugs or maybe because he ain't got nothing else to do lol.

This! everyone's talking about hitman's stealth, i think a system as simple as skyrim is perfect!

I think it'd be great as an option. You aren't REQUIRED to use stealth but it could make certain missions easier. It just gives you more options on how to complete a mission. You can run in guns blazing, or sneak through undetected.

Omg, this is probably the only thing that could come close to confirming stealth. An image with a suppressor/silencer just isn't enough. I remember thinking the P90 from BoGT was going to be silenced. A farcry system would be great.
