It looks ok for most part, it's just that distracting black splodge near the highest point, it doesn't quite look natural, looks more like someone threw some dirt there. tounge.gif

 

edit: Just checked the original one and it's one there, the balance seems off on the one you have though, the streak one on the right hand side is more noticeable on the original whilst the splodge mark is less, here it looks reversed.

Good suggestion, i fixed that as well as some other things.

This... is... AWESOME! Great work guys, love that, I f*cking love that! I've always wanted to Vice City with a new story. One Question: Will you also add some more places like a third island or something like that? Cause that would be really, really cool! Anyways I hope this mod won't die or I'll tell Kim-Jong Un to nuke you with his plastic rockets tounge.gif

We are adding new interiors. HD'ing the current map takes so long that a 3rd island is out of the question for now.

Then check out Vice City Rage Beta 3wink.gif Imho the visuals of Vice City 2 look better than VCR Beta3 but the earlier VCR Beta was better than both.

As this is EFLC only, I'm wondering if this works with the Steam version of EFLC. Reason being is Rockstar didn't have an EFLC copy to send to me because mine broke, so they gave me a code to install the Steam version. Is there any difference from the Steam version to the Retail version?

 

I remember the original VCR team saying they were not going to support the Steam version anymore due to technical issues. I still have the retail EFLC on my PC just encase.

Well, not trying to offend, but that's stupid, I'm pretty sure 90% of the fans want the classic VC,

Ik there is GTA VCR but VC2 is doing it better..

Buildings that were there in the 80's should look the same, but maybe slightly more aged (small texture tweaks). That also means no adding islands or chunks of land. Not trying to be bossy here. Just saying what will make the mod be set in Rockstar's universe, and not your modified universe. Several mods on here are failing at being in Rockstar's universe though they are trying to be in it but are not. Two examples that are getting carried away with changes include:

-GTA SOL

-GTA LCS PC Edition

 

Not saying they are bad mods, I'm saying they are supposedly in Rockstar's Universe but aren't. SOL is now going to have two versions, one with changes and one with out.

But wasen't the ideal plan of this (Vice City 2) to basically be like what Rockstar did to all the III era cities to the HD universe?

Basically, re-make the entire map, new models, etc, in the same place as Vice City originally was, then when all that's done, completely change the city, change the layout, the island and stuff to a completely new one, like they did Liberty City from GTA3 to IV.

Developers, if you're making vice city that based in modern times, so why the city is not much changed in 27 years? even the construction crane is still in the docks! It's completely makes no sense!
