[WIP|EFLC] GTA: Vice City 2

Why not redo "Sunday" as "TUBE" then? It's the closest looking to the real Subway and was apart of the 3D era as it was shown in LCS, so it would fit in perfect for a HD'd Vice City.

 

Actually I now follows this mod and I'm impressed by it! So, I now have a few questions to you:

 

1. Are you planning do add more interiors (I've already seen an additional interiors in your mod)?

2. Will you plan to release any version of your total conversion for public somewhere this year allowing users to play it?

3. Are you planning do add support for latest GTA EFLC' patch 1.1.3.0 released about a month ago by Rockstar Games?

4. Related to the question above - it's possible when users install your total conversion map mod, they do can still use the phone from original game? If you're wonder why I ask you for this - latest patch cannot run any script / ASI mods due to the fact ScriptHook isn't available for latest GTA IV's (1.0.8.0) and GTA EFLC' (1.1.3.0) versions. IV's ScriptHook have a really sh*tty license which denies any changes in the code which totally eliminates any chances the modders here still active to updating it for latest versions, as its author @aru cannot be contacted for permission anymore and he didn't made the ScriptHookIV's source code available for public. So, this means using for example Simple Native Trainer 6.5 made by @sjaak327 for God Mode, Infinite Vehicle Health or Never Wanted for those updated already to the latest versions of GTA IV / GTA EFLC (like those using the Steam version) won't be possible anytime soon for an unknown time. So my suggestion to you is to keep phone, but do remove all phone numbers used for call people in both TLaD's and TBoGT's original Story Mode, but after peoples install your Vice City 2 mod, they do CAN still access the phone to dial the numbers related to in-game's cheats. Because the cheats could be used as an alternative workaround for the Simple Native trainer which is NOT usable on GTA IV 1.0.8.0 and EFLC 1.1.3.0 (and no any other script mods requiring ScriptHook are usable too).

1. Of course we will try to make a lot of interiors (and already have it) but we`ve decided to keep them for later. (global map first of all)

2. Yes, first public version will be released in the autumn 2017 (hope for it) (will include docks, airport and Little Havana, 6-7 missiobs, tuning, etc,)

3. Yes.

4. Hope I understand your question right. Phone won`t be available in public version. But as I know we don`t need any ScriptHookIV or smth like that. Tuning and some missions(scripts) are already written without it.

So you're saying cheats won't be accessible at all like in Criminal Russia RAGE map mod (or you'll give access to them via any other way)? I personally don't like getting chased by police for example and I'm would be happy if I can use somehow the cheats for clearing my wanted level or refilling my Health / Armor... If this won't be possible, I'm screwed then... :/ I'm only playing in freeroam with 100% save games in both GTA IV / GTA EFLC and GTA V and I'm not doing any missions (they're pretty difficult for me), man. Otherwise, I'm wonder if you can somehow make Simple Native trainer to work on your Vice City 2 map if peoples are installed it onto the previous ELFC's patch 1.1.2.0, then I might try your mod as it seems promising... :sigh: Otherwise your mod will be only for those playing their game in unmodded state...

This looks really good, but I need to agree with previous comments that 'Sunday' seems out of place/touch for a GTA universe.

 

Same. Like if you don't wanna do Bite, at least do Tube or Substandard.

 

 

Also I still can't over that gigantic Russia Today skyscraper in the middle of Little Havana. IMO you should work on making Little Havana more suburban and move the parody of the Russian propaganda machine downtown. I got some models for it if you think you could use them.

they should go on google maps (streetview) and look at miami's buildings , then replace that russian skyscraper

 

Or even just take a skyscraper thats already downtown and put their propaganda machine on one of those. And also maybe even redesign downtown's roads so it actually looks more like downtown Miami and not like a kid scribbled a couple of roads out.

As far as a refresh in road layout goes.

 

If it is supposed to be VC in the 3d universe, the layout shouldn't be changed too much. Maybe add new roads here and there, but it shouldn't be heavily modified.

 

If it is supposed to be a concept of VC in the HD universe, then I agree with you. A change in road layout would be nice.

Been following this mod's progression as of 2014. 5 years and still in the making and it never ceases to amaze me to see the great progress you lads provide! However I have my doubts as to when and where you guys plan to release the mod and in what form (a BETA, a final version, etc), do you think you could answer that question, at this point in time? Cheers in advance.
