bread
Apparently, North Korea also has a tendency to portray a dystopian America by using a brief part of the MW3 trailer in the video. EDIT - Translation: "Last night, I had such a wonderful dream. I found myself rising high into space riding the "Eunha 9" rocket. In happiness and excitement, the spaceship "Kwangmyungsong 21" separated, and was flying into the grand and endless space. From onboard, I could see beautiful colors and stark contrast [of the outside]. I was about to press the button to take a picture as I was heading toward our perfectly green earth, a shining star in the midst of the darkness. Suddenly, through the camera lens, the image of the unification flag blowing over our one unified country crops up. Even I weep as I hold tightly to that camera, concerns rushing over me. In America, I can see black smoke. It seems like the devil's nest that habitually caused wars of invasion and persistence are finally burning under the fire that I have caused. The free and peaceful world and the magnificent and awe-striking space seem to be blessing our spaceship "Kwangmyungsong 21." Dear viewers, think about this. Korea's spaceship flying through space, to the backdrop of the brightly-lit sun and space. I am certain that my dream will come true. Even the complete ending of the imperialists schemes. Seeing our Bakedu Mountain country prospering strongly under reunification, they will not be able to prevent our people from going forward towards a final victory." Creed Bratton
I saw this a couple of days ago. Activision is working hard on blocking all the videos. Using footage from American video game and American song as propaganda against America. Brilliant! Why did they make this anyway? Half the freakin' country doesn't even have electricity and I don't think anyone besides their glorious leader and his closest people have internet. EscoLehGo
I wonder how North Korean war vets, if there are any of them left, feel about what North Korea has become? Surely this wasn't what they envisioned when they were fighting the ROK tooth and nail on the battlefield. I remember reading that some Chinese combat vets from the Korean war were given some kind of honorary visit to the state and they were quoted as saying they were "disappointed" by the lack of progress there. Chris Fromage
This is bad, but you can't blame them. Be honest, how many did I see on American tv that 'Iran has to be destroyed' or on some tv shows of Israël, where they say Palestine has to be nuked (and vice versa)... I have gone to all those countries, and the only thing they do is spread hate thought the tv. It's everywhere: Us, Europe, middle east, Russia, Japan, North/South-Korea... And the worst thing is that we believe it...
Kifflom112
God damn North Korea is just f*cked up. This may sound rude but why can't somebody just blow that whole place up, wipe it out?

Well I wouldn't know that because I can only see through my own eyeballs, not yours. I love the fact that the music is so peaceful and lovely. Like there's some North Korean out there that is sleeping snuggly in his bed, all tucked up with an angelic look on his face, and in his head is just millions of Americans being killed and maimed. And the worst thing is that we believe it... I for one know that American, European, Russian, Japanese, and South Korean media never called for the destruction of any country for a long time. This isn't WWII. (Korea was already occupied by another country by the time WWII started). Most of the Middle Eastern media aren't war hawks either. Watch Al Jazeera for example. There's just a few Japanese animations that depict the destruction of imaginary cities. South Koreans don't want a war with North Korea because they know that it would be terrible for both countries. The older generation know from experience what a civil war in Korea is like, and the South Koreans older than 30 have watched documentaries of the Korean War that used to air every June 25th. The only Koreans I see on tv that express strong actions against North Korea are two North Korean refugees who were interviewed on South Korean media. Their call for strong actions weren't the destruction of North Korea. They just demanded the halt of economic aid because it only got to the government and the army, and because of human rights abuse in that country. However, even the North Korean army isn't getting food now because of the lack of food. Edited February 10, 2013 by Shyabang Shyabang

Acehilm
Doesn't matter how hard they try - using U.S products and the U.S, they'll never accomplish it. The sparkle sound effects are humorous in the video. Just imagine an American advert showing a todler having the marvellous dream about his country nuking and destroy Iran. And playing in the background is 'Total eclipse of the heart' with crappy stock footage. That'd be a stupid as this North Korean advert. It's just funny how they have these high expectations. Dingdongs
That was f*cking creepy... While there's no real massive, al-Qaeda style desire to destroy America, the problem is that North Koreans actually are taught from birth that they can defeat the US. There's this notion amongst them that if the US invaded, they can easily defeat us in ground warfare. It's their doctrine and it's frankly wreckless on their part... TheGodDamnMaster
Was this produced independently, or by the North Korean government? Dale Nixon
Was this produced independently, or by the North Korean government? If it was the latter, it makes me question why serious action hasn't been taken against them yet. Because tension between North-Korea and South-Korea - and pretty much every western 'Americanized' country - has been going on for so long now that nearly everything all of the factions say is a meaningless threat. Propaganda against the United States is rampant in NK, but propaganda against NK is rampant in the US as well. Both governments make people so misguided about one another. Pick your poison is all you can do.

orbitalraindrops
My favorite part of this is the whole MW3 thing. IW is such a blatantly pro american anti everyone else company that to use there own product against them is marvelous and must really piss them off. N.K should be treated as a threat. They shouldn't be underestimated and I think something bad might happen. Most likely war between the south and north beginning again. Invasion of N.K by any country would be suicide. They have a stupidly large army and their people bum Kim Jong Un. It'd be like the Korean or Vietnam wars all over again.
