universetwisters
Is it cool if somebody can make a map of the Halifax-Dartmouth area, but make it in the style of a GTA map, with police station icons, hospital icons, gun stores, etc.? Thanks, and I'll give credit!
Have Mercy
This is an excessive request. Most artists might make a simple map but the maps like Rockstar has are made by people who create graphics for a living..
Narcis_speed6
Excessive or not, these kind of reports are not valid. Time will decide if there are capable members of doing it.
universetwisters
So, you guys are saying it can't be done, or that it'll take a very, very long time to be completed?
Graven
It depends what kind of source file You can give. Optimal would be a vector version. You´d get a good result quite easily by changing some color groups, strokes etc., icons are the easiest. I don´t use any map services, so not a clue what kind of tricks You could maybe play with them. Maybe it´s possible to take snapshots of the same area with only streets visible, then buildings etc? That would help if You can´t provide a vector version. Maps are done and edited with vector editors. If done from scratch, yes that kind of map would take some time. You can trace a pixel image but the source file would have to be very big and clear to get a good result.
