I just thought it would be an interesting social experiment to bring back a banned member if they win... and give them another chance, just to see if they would improve. Probably wouldn't be the case with Slamman, but it would be funny to see him post again. He has been given more chances than anyone else in the history of this forum. He only causes more trouble than anything else and alone his three pages long memberlog, that is full of warnings and temp-bans, shows that. He's died back in October 2011 and was possibly one of the greatest losses for this community. That's why he'd be the "Most Missed" - or at least that's what I believe he is. Indeed, he will always be missed and not winning the award every year won't detract from that. He was and always will be remembered as a fantastic moderator and that's why we should start remembering him as he was, a great guy and a superb asset to the forums. For example it's the middle of February now yet these awards are based around who did the best job in 2012, right ? Since the format is to award people over the past year, we can't exactly start them in December because things are still happening. I don't think any staff member would sacrifice the holidays to start them dead on the beginning of January either. So far we've taken 2 weeks for nominating and around a week for them to be counted, so it's a long process. It all depends on if staff are around to do them as it does take quite awhile to get from start to finish.
