Gordito37
Hi, I don't know if this ever has been disscussed, but i would like to know what do you think. I believe this could be pretty awesome to dismember people by shooting in hands with shotgun or with explosives.

Cyfa
Would be f*cked up. The amount of gore and bullet holes in MP3 was bad enough, so if you're looking for some cool weapon damage, expect something like the damage from MP3 to be in GTAV. LuisBellic
I think it should depend on what weapon you use. Like a pistol just leaves bulletwounds (and brain matter if you shoot someone in the head, or if you use a shotgun it leaves larger bullet wounds and can blow off part of someones head/limbs, while with explosions depending on how close could blow someone to pieces. I hated with GTA IV how a grenade goes off by someone and they don't lose one limb.
Flight180Victm
I loved in Manhunt when you shot somebody in the head a big chunk of their head and brain blew off. I think they should put that kind of gore in the game. I also would like it if when you smashed somebody with your car that maybe a limb or two would break off. Happyness
I've been wishing for some gore in GTA games for ages now... What's a game like GTA or SR, or alike without gore? (Not necessarily a lot)
BlackNoise
I think MP3 was perfect for most guns, but GTA is a much more violent series. It's one of the most violent games you can buy. I just think it's weird that R* goes a little soft on the gore. I know it's too much for some people, but you have a choice of what weapons to use. When you shoot somebody with an RPG, what should happen? Bullet wounds will look more realistic like MP3, but rockets don't make bullet wounds, so it seems inconsistent if they don't take it as seriously as the gun violence. The same thing with melee weapons. If they're trying to make the effects of one type of weapon more realistic, I think they should do the same with the rest. It just adds to the overall visual quality IMO. Edited February 9, 2013 by BlackNoise
T0X1C
Doesn't some game have a 'gore setting?' I don't see why they can't add this. If u set it to 0 - people won't even bleed when attacked, if you set it to max - limbs will fly off and beheading people will be possible.
The Pizza Delivery Guy
i would say dismembering would be interesting... but there ought to be a limit. There are a lot of blinded morons who will say that blowing off a collection of programmed pixel's "leg" is too violent for the population. I hate conflict, and the above I hate as well. I hate society.
jamieleng
I'll bet my right arm that there'll be no dismemberment.
scarface910
If you can watch a movie where some persons arm gets chopped off, you should be able to do it in a game. >=)
rad13579
in terms of dismemberment COD world at war did that pretty good you stepped on a land mine and 'bye bye legs' lol
ccrogers15
Say bye to the game if your in australia then. Isnt fallout 3 and NV released there? If so, this is void. That game has so much gore...
DS 17
Not needed imo. If that is in, there should be an option to turn it off.
Braindawg
I would love to see dismemberment in the game. At least being able to blow people's head off with a shotgun, or being ably to blow people up with a grenade and watch them just spread into a pile of gibs :>
danik18
I Readed it somewhere and if it's not fake you can dismember people with a chainsaw, etc.
Pyrrhic
Say bye to the game if your in australia then. So wrong. They re-introduced the R18+ ratin before video games over here, it's almost impossible for games to be fully banned now.
Algonquin Assassin
I've never really understood the obsession with dismemberment. I'd actually prefer a torture scene like in TLAD. Something that makes me go "Wow that was intense" like many moments in GTA IV, RDR, LA Noire and MP3. I get more of a kick out of that than watching peds getting their limbs blown off alll the time. That's not entirely true if you could dismember people and it was rated R it would be banned in QLD because they haven't passed the R Rating yet, it the reason GOW Acension won't be available there Edited February 9, 2013 by billy james
LewisMiller
I would love MP3 gore but RDR level of gore will suffice, in trailer two there is blood splatter when trevor slams that guys head against the counter.
BigKush
There's a certain comedic value in it given the already cartoonish vibe of the Grand Theft Auto universe, but I think it's a bit beyond Rockstar's tastes - dismemberment, as basic as it stands in current videogame technology, is akin to ragdoll physics in that it looks very dated and a bit cheap. Paper Mario
I want so much realistic gore! I mean, Vice City and SA had it aswell. Where heads could be shot off. And in GTA V it needs to return, there needs to be more. And not stupid like in SR3, no. It needs to make sense. GORE FTW!
Gordito37
Why shouldn't it be in V, It was in San andreas. Remember headshots with desert eagle ! What about ballshot in V ?

matajuegos
If cockstar doesn't include dismemberment, I hope they add realistic sounds, like screams, cries, etc. That would be realistic without having gore.

I agree it makes more of an impact in cutscenes, but I would like something for the more powerful/explosive weapons in-game as well. I look at it the same way as the gun sounds. They should all sound different and accurate to how they would sound in real life, or as close as possible. R* gives us so many weapons and I just want a .50 cal to do different visual damage than a 9mm or RPG. I don't think dismemberment would happen all the time anyways, because the type of weapons that would cause that much damage would run out of ammo more quickly. I mainly use smaller caliber guns, so I would like to see a big difference when I occasionally use something more powerful. I also think it would help highlight the differences between the three characters. I could see Trevor making things much more messy than Franklin or Michael.
