Habs Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 Am I the only one who thinks like that? I mean, from what we've seen Franklin look the same damn thing, physically & mentally. From what we saw in trailer #2, all we could see is Franklin crying about the fact that his homie is selling dope & throwing up gang signs + he's arguing with his girlfriend just like Luis was doing with his mom. (And his brother/her sister Online) I'm not trying to be pessimist, I'm sure I'll be a huge Franklin fan, but from what I saw/read lately it's looking like we're going to have a Luis #2. Yes, Luis & Franklin have managed to climb out of the ghetto & both have friends that try to bring them down to their level. Both have bosses that run legit businesses but are pretty dodgy. Actually they do sound alike. I'm sure Franklin will differentiate himself from Luis throughout the story. R* are better than cookie cutter characters. Yeah I was thinking the same thing unfortunately and imo it's a garbage idea cause Luis could've takin control of northwood/washington heights and been a kingpin but instead he'd rather shun his friends and what could've been a very profitable and powerful position, and yeah I get that it's harder to do things in the criminal underworld nowadays but there still are crime kingpins. Franklin on the other hand seems like his character is going to be a complete waste of oppurtunity on r*'s part considering the fact he's an "ex street gangster.) Also Luis was 25 in TBGT, GTAIV era was in 2008, that would make Franklin 30 years, and they said he is mid 20's. So just for the age it makes that impossible. Also they don't look physically alike, not their face, nor their body build and also Luis accent and voice is very different from Franklin. If it was said Franklin was somehow based in Luis but i a different context, ya that would make sense, anything else but that is crossing the line of logic.
