+ Xx--_TheHeist_--xT +
I just recently saw this on Computer & Video Games and I know this is rather annoying, but I think we might expect something better this time around. Hopefully It can't be bloody Modern Warfare right? ""The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call today. "There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012," it added. Historical trends indicate this year's title is likely to be a new entry in the 'Modern Warfare' line, developed by Infinity Ward. Expect an early November release" The source is right here folks. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/39002...ar-even-higher/ Edited February 8, 2013 by + Xx--_TheHeist_--xT +

Guest
It only takes them a year to make the game. f*ck these guys It actually only takes 6 months. First months of a year used for DLC, the remaining for "making" a "new" game.

Durden
Why do people think CoD takes a year to make? Do people not know the difference between Treyarch and InfiniteWard? As for the news: Yeah that's great but even more exciting, an astrologist recently confirmed that there will, infact, be a full moon later this month! If you people want some real news, Android will be making a new, upgraded version of the OUYA every year.

friendly luggage
All the idiots will swarm to this game after they see the explosions and fancy effects in the trailers. IW will promise radical changes but it's always the same recyled sh*t. Look at Underground on MW3. It had loads of left hand drive cars parked around the map. No attention to detail what so ever. CoD is now just a half assed cash cow designed to gouge money from the consumer and get them to "Like us on Facebook" providing free advertising. I doubt this awful series will die anytime soon. hobointheyard
The poor society today saying: "Carl of Dooty iz lurk the berst vider gurm evur!" No effort in them whatsoever. I gave up after MW3, they've brainwashed us to think the new one stinks, I love the old CoD! then they buy the new one. It's a never-ending cycle. MarshDanni
I... I can't believe this... How many CoD games will be enough? Don't they know people are getting sick of this game? Carbine23
I think COD when downhill after COD4 and i predicted it too. Even though COD4's multiplayer was amazing they were never gonna make it the same ever again. Black Ops II is the first COD i haven't bought and i continue to keep it that way. I'm sick of Activision's sh*t, they ruined what was once a great franchise into something repetitive. And another modern warfare? jesus christ, what r they gonna possibly do? I know people say WW2 is overplayed but i think the series was much better when they based the games around that war. I thought Black Ops was actually a jump in the right direction for single player but the maps were terrible. Nobody's gonna boycott it because blood thirsty 12 year olds will continue to buy the game cause they don't know any better, they never experienced the old games. Looks like it might even continue the new game every year trend into the next generation of consoles

Last good CoD was Call of Duty Black Ops IMO... Since that everything went downhill... I'm pretty sure they're one of the better selling titles on the market.. First you have GTA fanboys crying cause it's taking 5 years for One single GTA to be released. On the other side of the same coin you have GTA fanboys critisizing COD because they release a new title once a year. So what, just because you have to wait for a new title for you favorite series means everyone else has to wait as well? If they can produce a new title every year and still sell then more power to them. No one is forcing you to buy it, so what's the big issue..? I mean lets be honest, there's really not a whole lot more you can add to first person shooters, its all been done and when something new does come around everyone else steals it anyways. I'm sure you'd be happy as hell if you could get a new GTA every year. I'll play COD over at my friends house time to time and though I couldn't really see myself owning it it's still a really fun game to play when you're with your friends just kickin it. Creed Bratton
This series needs to die How about this? People who like it can keep buying it and if you don't like it you don't have to buy it. I think that could work but I'm not sure. It needs further testing. I know it sounds strange and controversial, but try to be open-minded.

Yeah, but not a far into the future as Black Ops 2 (technology wise) There's shock charges, bouncing betty's, sights that see through walls, and much more. The Pizza Delivery Guy
A new Call of Duty confirmed? I don't think we needed a topic for this, wasn't it obvious? I'd care, but all these FPS games are littered with twelve year olds that have higher pitched voices than their younger sisters. I'd only play single player, but after a while, I'd start to miss the rage of these "1337 SnIPeRs" when you kill them. It's why I never mute.
