Going back to Tommy, Claude and CJ

So, a while ago I think it was The Benz who said that they would love to bring out all the cities in one game, now if they bring back the old Vice City, Liberty City and San Andreas they could bring back Tommy, Claude and CJ with a switching system. So they basically bring back the old characters, cities but with NEW stories, in HD, say what you want about the character rendering they could make this work. You could go to San Andreas as Tommy, Vice City as Claude, etc etc.

 

Would you like them to do this? Expalin why, instead of just pressing no

 

I would personally love to see this happen, with new stories old friends and with new ones.

I would like for Tommy to go back to Rosenberg too, as it seemed to piss many people off.

I like the idea of putting all past cities and perhaps states together since the room for messing around would be just massive, however I wouldn't like to see all past characters and protagonists again. If Rockstar would ever create such a game then they should also create a whole new palette of characters and protagonists. Not only that but I think that it wouldn't be possible anyways to see protagonists from the 3D-era GTA games. The explanation for this is that the GTA series is devided in three eras; 2D, 3D and HD. Radio stations, voices of radio stations, brands, et cetera can co-exist in each era, however characters can not exist in physical form in multiple eras, they belong each to their own eras. Here's a list of the GTAs and which era and console generation they belong to:

• 2D: PlayStation; GTA, GTA: London 1969, GTA: London 1961, GTA: 2

• 3D: PlayStation 2, Xbox; GTA: III, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, GTA: Advance, GTA: Liberty City Stories, GTA: Vice City Stories

• HD: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360; GTA: IV, GTA: The Lost and Damned, GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony, GTA: V

 

The next GTA after GTA V will obviously release on the next-generations consoles and depending on if Rockstar will ever create a GTA that will contain all cities of past GTA games and of course when they would release it, it's going to release for the next-generations consoles or the generation after that. It would belong to the HD-era unless Rockstar decides to create yet another era, something like Ultra-HD-era. If it's still HD-era then that would mean that characters from GTA IV, TLaD, TBoGT and GTA V could return.
