flyboy7
We already know that GTA V will have new and ambitious features that will have major impact in gameplay, whether in freemode/story mode, or multiplayer. That's all well and good. But I'm curious about the little features that may not even affect gameplay or the story. It may even be fully functional or utterly useless or both. Little things like being being able to use and control a crane, a forklift, a tow truck, open and close a garbage truck, raise and lower ramps on trucks, turning of ignition or sitting on a bench (a feature in Driver 2, a game that I loved to play before discovering GTA.) Such little nuances and fine details are what sold me to GTA:SA and I do hope that such little features will be included in GTA V, no matter how insignificant. japse123
Yes, I like those kind of features thats is small. I wish there were more of these in IV.

Red Hat
hmm.....i wont the cockpit view while driving a car and in cockpit view we can lower the windows, car wipers, reverse gear, handbreak, locking and unlocking car with remote(keyless entry) and alarm...there are the things i want in car, in house, we can open and close windows, go to toilet..take bath.lol, Michael and wife can f*ck eachother, We can close and open garages by going near them and pressing a button(not like SA), We can go in lift and press the button to any floor(not like IV). Taxi should be a bit more realistic than IV. We can go underwater with Submarine...well for now this much should make me happy.

I do hope the little things like sitting, operating cranes, opening trunks, those things will go along way realistically. The cockpit view is something they should have implemented a long time ago. And I'm sure such things will appear in V, considering that there were little details in IV that, though they were maybe pointless, immersed the player in the world, like the way you'd hear the radio in the cars of NPCs as they passed, or how NPCs would react if you bumped into or even pushed them, or how you could leave the car with either the engine running or the car fully stopped, or how, if you drove away at the exact moment an NPC grabbed the door handle, they'd be dragged along for a little while. rare.steak
I misss hooking up a load of tractors and going down a cliff. Spot on. Also was really fun hooking up onto an AI's car and driving it off cliffs watching him sit there helplessly as his car gets destroyed and finally driving into the sea where he/she eventually drowns. Will be really nice to see how current-gen AI handles such a situation. I wonder if they'd go as far as to calling the cops to rescue them. Have to agree with the topic here the little things count for a lot.
flyboy7
yeah Immersion! That's the world I was looking for. I remember Driver 2 had secret locations and vehicles, but you had to push a button to open it. Also that hook in that helicopter, and a fully functional airplane cargo hold. RIKOSHAY
All these things make the game worth playing after the storyline is done, not all the stuff you guys mentioned will be in it (my opinion) but a lot of it will be. A crane and tow truck stood out to me, those would be fun to use. As Franklin is a repo man I would think he'd have to use a tow truck from time to time. usb110
It would be fun again to attach tractors to cars and use the harvester again.
Banks.
Little features can make the game more enjoyable. flyboy7 gave some very good examples and I would like to see Rockstar include them in V. A nice feature that they were going to have in IV was opening your trunk which was obviously not included in the end but this would be a nice feature to have in V. The opening trunk feature could be used to store weapons, kidnapping, dumping bodies etc. Things like that make the game for me.

The submarine is there but I'm not even expecting a cockpit view, you get blood all over the windscreen and if you think there's going to be buttons for wipers and all that other stuff, well just count the button on your controller, 90% of that won't happen. Durden
Ah every month or so this topic gets made, I make a very heartful reply (as I am very passionate about these things in GTA) and then the thread just dies. So no point to make a decent post. But like I said, I agree OP, I love the little things such as snipers appearing on rooftops in IV, turning off the engine, putting helmet on, changing headlight radiation, etc... The list seems to never end.
Kifflom112
In IV I noticed that we actually had different types of headlamps for the first time in GTA history: Xenons, bi-xenons, halogen, some even had LED(like the second generation Schafter). And in V more cars have LED, even daytime LED's. Well I've always wanted more variety in these lights. In IV, even though there were different lights on cars, they all shined off the same colors, same distances. I'd like V to have,it like this(Forza Horizon did this so it's possible): Halogens aren't special, just put off typical boring yellowish white Xenons are more blue/green white, shine brighter and have better distance LED's should look cool, put off blue but mostly white lights that are very bright thus have the greatest distances. It's small and irrelevant but I'd love it.
Bubbles420
I think use of drugs would be really cool for a gta game. Rockstar said Trevor is an addict and Franklyn seems like he would be a bit of a stoner, so lets hope.

thestoneman420
Franklyn seems like he would be a bit of a stoner When did they say this? When they did the character switch I believe Franklin was walking out of a legal marijuana dispensary or something heavily implying a weed store.
