ROCKSTAR MANIC Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) I joined the forums sept 13 2012 who closer to that date, 9/17/13 The date i joined is awfully close to the release date. feel free to post ur date and why did you join I knew about this website 4 years ago but, i wouldn't really make an account it was a hassle but then when GTA V was near to being previewed I joined. I joined in anticipation for GTA X, it will beat GTA V any day. After all it has been in development since 2004 and probably won't see the light of day until 2030. Durden Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 GTA was always my favourite franchise of all time, I just didn't know it until GTAV got announced. For some reason, the announcement of V was huge to me. So when Bring your kid to work day came, I ecstaticly viewed the first trailer, and from there on I couldn't stop talking about GTAV to my friends and how awesome its gonna be because its gonna be basically IV and SA combined. So with my hype growing since October 25, I decided that just merely anticipating GTAV wasn't enough. I searched up GTA forum hoping to find a decent place to discuss my hype with others as excited as me, and well, there was this place conveniently named GTAForums. Needless to say, I registered, became a noob that people disregarded because of my join date, but as I climbed up the GTAF ladder I became one with the community... And then I understood the frusteration towards new members and I began to know that Zee was the forum troll, that there are a lot repeated and/or pointless topics created on a daily basis, that the search button sucks balls, and that Adriaan was a R* employee. Why aren't emoticons phased by the SPOILER tags? Hell, I joined the forum at arguably the worst time... Everyone was growing impatient, and we didn't get anything about GTAV besides the crew feature and a couple of screenshots that excited me more than they should have. Finally we got some great screens in August that satisfied a few, including me. The whole "Can't believe they're taking this long.... what's taking them 5 years!!??" - especially when we know for a fact that Rockstar North was working on Agent at some point.
