My current PC specs are as follows: AMD Athlon II X2 220 2.8GHz nVidia GeForce 9200 (lmao.) 3GB DDR3 Ram 220W PSU. I want to run GTA IV smoothly on everything low, but resolution on 1024x768 with shadows on low/medium. Everything else on low. I need to be aware of the maximum power usage by a graphics card that I am going to buy, this computer is relatively new, so I really wouldn't like to f*ck it up, lol. People (and I) have suggested these: ATi 6450 ATi 6570 GeForce GT520/610 And more, will any of them work? I'm certain that the ATI 6570 will run GTA IV smoothly-ish on medium-low settings, as that is the best graphics card there, but I'm taking a risk if I buy once since the max power usage is something around 49W. Could any of you suggest some graphics cards? I'm not going to upgrade my power supply, so yeah. I'd have to buy a new case, ensure it fits requirements etc. Any suggestions? unc13bud Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 yah, the low profile version of those would work, you could even get a more powerful card, as that is a delta power supply. the problem is that you have like zero clearance for cooling the card. 1 CPU heat is gonna hit the card from the bottom; 2 plus acer design has not enough ventilation for a card with a fan. you would have to get a hd 6570 low-profile card with a PASSIVE cooler (just heatsink, no fan). if you can find an passive nvidia card with 96 or more shader cuda cores (GTA IV also likes texture address units, but lets focus on cuda cores), that would be good for complementing your CPU and PSU... corvettelover Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Go atleast 5670/6670 GDDR5, don't even bother with anything lower. My PSU is 250watt I think and my XFX 5670 GDDR5 OC works great on it. I get around 35 fps IIRC in the EFLC benchmark @ 1680x1050 medium-high settings (textures and shadows at medium, rest at high/very high, don't remember the slider settings though) It'll probably be overkill though at 1024x768 Edited February 11, 2013 by corvettelover Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
