Chukkles
Are you certain it was a person that set it? I feel for you and yours, that can't be amusing in the slightest and is going to cost your government and possibly even you a lot, no doubt. MIKON8ERISBACK
Obviously evacuate immediately when advised to. As for people ignoring fire bans, this world is just full of stupid people. It's widely believed that human stupidity and lack of common sense multiplies with every passing generation. People at our old cottage used to light campfires during fire bans and periods of dry weather (although summers up there typically aren't particularly hot). Luckily we never found ourselves in a dangerous situation as far as I can remember. It would have been bad if we had, as it is by definition, in the middle of nowhere far removed from any sizable city or town. All it takes is literally a split second for a fire to get out of control once it finds itself loose. It doesn't take particularly high temperatures to create conditions favorable for wildfires. Girish
That's f*cked up. Reminds me of that scene from 'Project X' where the dude shows up at the party with the flamethrower and starts setting everything on fire.

FAH-Q
The Fact that you have one cop and the dude isn't even around for 12 hrs is mind-boggling to me. Where I live, the police dept has a whole fleet of new Dodge Chargers and you see one every quarter mile.

018361
I'm sorry to hear that. I had a similar situation, but it was caused by a homeless man who just wanted to keep warm. The fire spread right up to our fence which has wooden rail road ties or a railway sleeper as a fence post. Lucky enough for us my awesome neighbor used his tractor to get rid of the plant life between our fence and the fire before it was given a chance to ignite the fence and everything beyond. Best of luck to ya pal.
Benjimino234
Oh wow, damn! Hope that you'll be able to subside the flames and protect your house - I'd be pissed too if it was some dumbass kid that started that.

Reminds me of that scene from 'Project X' where the dude shows up at the party with the flamethrower and starts setting everything on fire. That was crazy. And weird I just watched that movie 2 days ago. Anyways, OP how is it going there?

I think Australia doesn't have enough cops when compared to the United States.
