MIDEVL Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 I like 6 as a starting point because there's a lot of places to 'live'... You can RP arriving at the docks. Flying in... Etc. But later on once we're established, open it up to LS so that if there's a shootout or something in Holland they won't spawn in Hove Beach. Also, the way I think cars should work is that there should be groups of cars per license incase one kind doesn't spawn... Then have different models at different prices (License groups), and make the highest license group at an extremely huge price just because IRL the price of those cars are insane compared to all others... And with guns, I think there should be a legal method, with permits and whatnot, then illegal methods... And some guns are illegal no matter what, like AKs or any fully-auto... Why this? full auto's are perfectly legal in the U.S. with the FFL and NFA in place it runs smoothly and everyone is kept on file.Who ever the gun dealer is would charge extra for fully auto's just like the SOT which usually runs around 200$ for a transfer from owners or a purchase.I can see where you guys want to restrict them so it makes the police have the big guns but really anyone who has the money and the patience to go threw the three month waiting period can acquire the rifle of their dreams.The guns/licenses for these should be equivalent to a high end vehicle license and should be approved by the Mayer/PD Chief for conformation. Okay... Liberty City is based on New York City... New York City is in New York. I live in New York. Gun Laws in New York is like putting a car jack up someone's ass. It's a pain in the ass enough to get a pistol permit. All fully-auto weapons are banned, and shotguns/rifles can be purchased at our own leisure, with no restriction. At least where I live. It might be more strict on buying shotguns/rifles down in the city. And no, I don't want them banned so that the police would have the big guns. I want them made illegal so that 1. It's more realistic, and 2. When I got to a club to smash it up or something, we're the ones with the big guns and not every regular Joe's gonna have an M4 under the bar or something. @Lamboto - "Psst, hey! Unless he and I came to an agreement, the deal would be thrown out of the window and it'd have to be done again. But I also agree with the banker idea just because it's a real-time economic system. SRB Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 For gun policy I think it should be something like this: Legal weapons, obtained with a license or permit whatever you guys decide: -Glock -Knife -Hunting Rifle(Bolt action) -Desert Eagle -Pump shotgun If you don't have a permit, or license you can be arrested on serious charges for illegal gun owning. Guns that should be completely out of the RP at all costs: -RPG I think police should be able to use just about any weapon, other than the Molotov, and RPG. They should be able to use shotguns in breaches, snipers for long range fighting, hostage situations, and counter sniping, pistols for a sidearm and most used and an M4, but roleplayely get it from the trunk of their car if there is a heavy firefight. Other weapons, that can be obtained but illegally are: -Mac 10 -AK47 -PSG 1 -MP5 Consequences for using illegal weapons will be arrest and serious charges. Also I think the police, or the FIB should check the person out before giving them a gun permit per their request. Make sure they have no suspicious activity, or criminal record. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also am in favor of the idea of the platypus start out. Everybody starts with their beginning cash, thats it. The only thing you own is a bunk in the platypus itself. Everyone lives their as if we are all immigrants who just arrived. Nobody can have a car either. Any bus driver, taxi driver or cop will be allowed their car that involves their job.
