will Heists be the only theme

as we all know, Heists will be a huge theme of the game

6 heists that Michael, Trevor and Franklin will complete throughout the game

but do you think it will be the only theme, of the storyline.

I hope its not, i hope there are other parts to it as well instead of robberies.

I hope Mexcian Drug Cartels play a strong influence as well as traditional CO (russians again, japanese, irish etc.) probably not Italians that much, but i still have a theory that Michael has some connection to the Italian Mafia, he does look italian

i rememeber a rumour back that the game will focus on 2 drug cartels going to war..... maybe Michael, Trevor and Franklin get in the middle of them, and have to dig themselves out with these heists or somethign similar to that.... they start working for 1 cartel etc. etc. many possibilties

now that was back when the first trailer was released.. things can change

how a drug cartel war and the 6 heists connect with each other, is to be forseen (if that rumour was accurate)..but i just hope heists arn't the only major thing in the storyline

No reliable information about GTAV ever said that.

And yes, there probably will be some classic GTA missions besides the new over-the-top heist ones.

i think you misunderstood. heists are THE theme... correct me if i'm wrong but something can't have multiple themes right?

but yes i think we can expect much much more going on besides heists

Ask folks what their favorite mission in GTA IV was, and most will answer Three Leaf Clover, the bank robbery Niko, Packie and crew tried to tackle. Rockstar knows that, and that's why GTA V hinges on heists.

Yes, GTA V has a goal. You're not just trying to make ends meet however you can. You and your crew are trying to pull off five to six heists to bankroll as much money as possible and get on with life. The missions you have in the game are all about setting up these heists,

I think it was stated in the Game Informer mag, and if not in there, It was definitely pointed out by IGN suger tits. biggrin.gif

Why dont some of you people start using common sense?

Of course heists will not be the only theme in the game, but it will be the major theme.

There is likely to be other kind of missions to.

Oh, and actually, I'm pretty sure that money is supposed to be the theme of the game.

But I've been wrong before. ^

At the very least, Trevor clearly has his own criminal operations. They'll definitely be some variety, the heists are more the connective tissue of the game.

Also, a heist isn't a theme. The traditional definition of a theme is some sort of universal message derived from the text that can be applied to the real world. For example, themes of GTA IV might be that revenge does not create fulfillment or the price of our dreams may not be worth it. Theme is often confused with motif which is an idea or thing that is often repeated. So, the death of organized crime would be referred to as a theme in GTA IV.

A heist is just something that's going to happen.

I hope grand theft auto will be another theme. It has always been a secondary thing, yet it is the title of the game. It's either a means of transportation or side mission, but we have never had a GTA game with a story that focuses on stealing cars.
