FireDragon
I've been looking for a fan heatsink for MSI P67A-G43 motherboard. it's a LGA 1155, running a i5 2500. If anyone has any ideas of a really good fan heatsink for under $100 that would be great.
Trund
I've suggested the Cooler Master Evo 212 in other threads before, for ~$30 it's pretty much the cheapest solution for a very good and quiet cooling. I use it myself on the i5-2500k @ 4.3GHz and I'm more than happy with it. Here you can see the test results for it: http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?...eid=2655&page=5 In case you want something else you can just pick any with a similar performance, but from my knowledge there's nothing better price/performance wise. FireDragon
Also if it's gonna fit in my case, I got a HAF 912. And with the Hyper 212 EVO, would I be able to add another fan for a push/pull air flow? Edited February 6, 2013 by FireDragon
Trund
Yup it will fit. Your case is 230mm wide, the cooler is 159mm high. So there's still plenty of room. Edit: You can easily attach a 2nd fan to the back, I did that as well. But the difference is only marginal.
FireDragon
Sounds good, although I'm still open to other options as well.
Trund
That's understandable, in my opinion however there's no better cooler for such a good price. I mean, of course you can spend twice as much for another heatsink, but you might only get 2-3c lower temperatures with that, if you ask me that's not worth it. BTW if you are curious here's a picture of how it looks in my case (and it's a small case), left is the original fan and the right one is an additional Arctic Cooling PWM fan: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/9441/20121203171912.jpg
