Original Light
Hey everyone, A couple weeks ago, I overclocked my graphics card a little. So little, it shouldn't have had any problems. But it did. After I over clocked it, my screen turned black, and my computer stayed frozen, so I turned it back on. I set it back to its factory shipped frequencies, and I can play games normally, except for one issue... Every time I log on, the screen will either turn black for 3 seconds (if it starts immediately before my desktop loads), or, the bottom of my screen will become distorted and then turn black (this happens if my desktop screen loads first, 1-2 seconds after I log on). After the black screens are over (around 3 seconds in both possibilities), I will get this little flag message: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display Driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal Mode Driver, Version 310.90 stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix this. My card is a GTX 570, and I just updated it, but it didn't fix it. The card's only a year old, and has been well taken care of. I may be getting the GTX 680 soon anyway, and I can live with this, but I'm wondering if there's a fix to this issue, or what the problem may be. I don't feel comfortable selling this card if the next owner is going to encounter this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you need to know anything else to possibly solve this issue, just ask. Thanks in advance, Nick
