Meh, it might get cancelled but I don't think the delayed return is a sign of that. It's the same thing they did last year with Supergirl. I think they're just spacing out the current shows as there are actually too many shows running on the CW Television Network. I'm unsure Arrow's future as Stephen Amell was rumored to be leaving after this season. Also, Legends of Tomorrow is quite safe TBH. Just finished the latest Flash episode and I had to basically force myself to watch it. It's just so damn repetitive at this point. Go figure that the most interesting parts of the episode were the Eobard Thawne scenes and they were the smallest part of it. I think one of the problems with the Flash is that they spend too much time in Star Labs and every episode feels to similar villain on loose stop them, forced drama, Barry gets nerfed, Team helps Barry , and then chip away at the main Villain. Ever since Arrow got rid of the Arrowcave the show has improved. Everyone is all out doing their own thing occasionally helping out each other. Jimmy Posted January 18, 2019 Share Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) Nora's character feels clichéd at this point. The show is more drama than superhero genre at this point. Nora’s arc in this episode seemed a bit forced. Having trust issues from learning about Barry and Eobard’s relationship, she’s quick to judge Weather Witch when she’s trying to build a case during her trial. It makes sense that she would be a bit more cautious, but that doesn’t mean she needed to go overboard. Most of the plot could have easily been solved had she been a bit more rational. Also, this episode was filmed during the Elseworlds Crossover, explaining why Grant (Gustin) had a small role to play in episode, locked in the pipeline. The next episode has the same name as one of Arrow's S2 episodes. Jimmy Posted January 24, 2019 Share Posted January 24, 2019 Arrow: First look at Emiko Queen as a character. The character seems like a lose adaptation from the comics version. I wonder if she and Oliver will face each other soon. Seems like she and Rene are getting along just fine. It was great to see the Wild dog costume again. Oliver's post prison existence seems good, although it focuses too much on Ollie's existential crisis. Wasted atleast half of the episode of Robert Queen's big secret. And how come the Olicity relation has drastically improved since last episode? They were pretty much broken up. "Ghost Protocol" seems like a suicide squad pt 2. The future moments are pretty much boring and losing their focus (from William and Roy). Hopefully that won't be the case. She's proven herself to be a capable substitute for the real Green Arrow. I'd say there's a 90% chance Oliver will be sacrificing himself in the Crisis later this year and Emiko will be the new lead on Arrow afterwards. Stephen Amell has a wine business on the side as well and it's clear that that is where his passion is these days, not the show. A lot of old easter eggs and names were mentioned. I had forgotten about Huntress for years now. What remains to be seen is Conner's (Conner Hawke; if I'm not wrong) involvement with Mia/Blackstar. I wonder what they are upto. There are quite a lot of fan theories on reddit about the subject. She was a Nazi scientist who unlocked cosmic secrets and developed incredible energy powers. There's no immediate or direct counterpart of her in the comics when compared to Kat's character on the show. Also, The Flash was better the regular episodes last night. Was nice to see the heroes play rogues for once. Too bad they didn't go with the plan (thanks to Barry again). CCPD killing guns should be off the street but Cicada needs to be stopped first. What surprised me was Barry's quick channeling of his inner Heisenberg and calling himself "The Chemist". The heist felt too lame and rushed. I enjoyed Goldface's market though. I hope it makes a return later in the season. That's (the area on his biceps) where the shard from DeVoe's satellite hit him I guess. Time and again we've seen him in pain from that wound. Makes sense that it would be his weak spot. @TheFoxRiverFugitive And yes, Goldface was really interesting. He married Amunt Black in comics. Would have been interesting to see both of them work as a duo on the show as well. I really do miss some street level criminals since Snart and Rory left.
